I wouldn’t be surprised if it remains at #1 going off how much I enjoy the small batch and single barrel EH Taylor ….I’ve never even seen a barrel proof EH Taylor at a store . If you get a chance to get Stagg jr for under $200 jump on it , brother . It’s also Buffalo Trace made and sweet .

I’m more of a manhattan fan and it works great with those too …try some blood orange bitters with it and let me know …******* delicious…..I’ll try the old fashioned recipe too .

I popped open a bottle of Smoke Wagon uncut unfiltered yesterday . Was very pleasantly surprised. I’d recommend trying it .

If you like Bookers the Big Daddy's on Kendall by the Flannigans has it at close to MSRP pretty often (haven't been in the store in a month or so, not sure what's there right now)

Big fan of Japanese whisky. Something cheap($40) , smooth and tasty : Sensei. My 2 favorites are Nikka from the barrel and Hibiki 12 though I'll settle for Hibiki harmony . Kamiki is also very good amd is maybe $70

Have you had Hancocks? I’m usually a proof snob but this one is delicious and only 88.8 proof or something weird like that , I’d have to look at the couple bottles I have but it’s 88 something.

Don't know about that bottle specifically but I've had Elijah Craig store pick bottles that were around 13 years old . Age on a store pick is up to the store mostly. Checkers by 184th and US1 has very good store picks when they get them . Yea , they usually do mark them up a bit but nothing...
