Even if the guys they’re losing aren’t very good, you’re still talking about a huge percentage of your total roster. I’m sure they feel like they’re upgrading at a few spots but for depth alone, losing that many players in a single year isn’t something you can shrug off.

Say what you want but the last time this team averaged 34 points per game against FBS opponents was 2002. Miami did average 34.3 points per game in 2016 but that was aided by a 70 point game against FAMU. 2020 was Miami’s best scoring offense in 18 ******* years.

I agree. I think people are reading these positive reports and they’re confusing “good” with “dominant”. We should have a solid offensive line this year. Will they just push everyone around? Of course not. Will they hold their own? Yeah, I think so. There’s a portion of the fanbase that thinks...

Michigan State was 55th against the run last year. They were 100th in scoring defense. Their defense is no better than most of the teams in our division. Duke is probably the only team I can say they’re better than. If they push us around, our line got significantly worse.

Williams will have to throw in the #84 jersey before participating in any end zone celebration with our mascot.

Experience doesn’t necessarily mean “better” but if you’ve got a bunch of average talent on your line, like we do, it’s much better to have experienced average talent. Sometimes an experienced line can be greater than the sum of it’s parts.

You said the rushing offense was “absolutely pitiful” I gave you reasons why it wasn’t. I also said we rushed for more yardage per game than Clemson. We did. You said QB rushing yards don’t count. I said otherwise. You can cherry pick stats to help prove your point but the macro numbers say that...

You realize they keep the same stats for everyone , right? Most of the top rushing teams have quarterbacks that run for a lot of yardage. You know what else? Most teams pad their stats against the weaker opponents on their schedule too. You can pick and choose they numbers you want to support...

We played a very sack happy schedule. I think something like 8 of our 11 opponents were in the top 30 in sacks per game. Including three teams in the top ten. FSU was the only team in our schedule that was in the bottom third of the nation in sacks.

Supposedly Gaynor is up to 315. Still, I'm up for open competition at any of the line spots. Nobody is good enough to have a guaranteed spot.

Also, what gets brought up here occasionally but I think some people believe is just an excuse was King's poor handling of the zone read play. A lot of those "dives up the middle" for no gain were misread handoffs that should have been keepers. Even on plays that were read correctly, King's...

We tied with Auburn for 67th in the nation in rushing offense. Not incredible but not “absolutely pitiful”. In fact, we rushed for more yards per game than Clemson did. Considering we ranked 120th in rushing in 2019 (now that’s what I call pitiful) a 53 spot jump in rushing offense is a...

Offensive line, more than any other position in football, requires the most team work to be effective. You can have an the best tackle in football but if you don’t have four other capable players next to him, your line will suck. Look at Joe Thomas’ career in Cleveland. Experience and...
