Was the peanut butter stout actually peanut buttery? Most of the time I get strong peanut flavor but not actual peanut butter flavor. Funky Buddha made a batch of "Don't tell Reece" peanut butter stout when they first opened the Oakland Park brewery and it was glorious. Ever since then, they...

I got a chance to hit up the new Dogfish Head brewery in Wynwood. They took the old Concrete Beach brewing spot. Pretty basic, not a huge selection but I'm chalking that up to it being brand new. Hopefully they'll be releasing some new stuff in the coming months. Hit up J Wakefield afterwards...

Dogfish Head is opening a taproom/brewery in Wynwood this weekend. I believe they're taking over the old Concrete Beach spot. I'm a big fan of J Wakefield but the hassle of driving down there and dealing with parking keeps me from making the trip often. Maybe with a new spot in the area, I'll be...

I had no idea Veza Sur was an AB company until my buddy who bartends told me that the salesman was the same guy who sold them Bud products. Same thing with Kona Brewing. It’s one thing for a mega corp to buy a brand like Constellation did with Funky Buddha. The owners at FB made a killing and...

I was on the fence when Constellation bought Funky Buddha because I know that the quality often takes a nose dive when independent brewers sell to National conglomerates. See: Wicked Weed. However the product at FB has remained consistently good and distribution is through the roof. I probably...

I do remember going to The Abbey on the beach a long *** time ago. I forgot all about that spot. J Wakefield is my favorite Dade brewery but I admittedly don’t go south too often. I had a list of places in the tri county that I was trying to get to but COVID put that list on hold.

I think it’s mostly due to a majority of the craft beer fans being younger folk that live on the east side of town town. My buddy lives in Plantation and he goes to the Riverside Market there but he’s not sure they’re doing that well. Every time I’ve gone, it’s been pretty empty. It sucks...

Just double checked. They're still open. It's a bit of a ride for me from Hollywood to Pompano especially since it's in an area where there's really nothing else around. I'll make the trip soon though. They do a good job. I've lived in Broward all 41 years of my life besides four in Orlando...

I went once a while back and was impressed. They have some really creative stuff. Are they still open? I know COVID put a hurting on some of these guys.

I’ve had a bunch of sours with lactose added recently and it really takes the acidic edge off them. The really tart ones or the ones that taste like vinegar are too much for me personally.

3 Sons is rapidly becoming the best brewer in Broward. At least for my taste. They make a ton of incredible sours and dessert-y stouts. They were recently on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. Invasive Species Brewing in Fort Lauderdale is really good too. I’m a fan of the creative stuff. I don’t care...
