As I mentioned on the Bank, he transferred already so would have needed a waiver to transfer. By withdrawing from the portal, he can graduate and proceed as a normal grad transfer. If he graduates this spring and elects to grad transfer, I would expect us to have interest.

Took an official visit to Oregon. I have no info on this one yet, but if the background stuff checks out he would be a logical addition. We need tackle bodies in the pipeline.

Keep an eye on this name. Entered the Portal. Averaged close to 20 yards per catch in first season.

Really liked this kid coming out. Anybody know why he entered the Portal? He was a key player for them and apparently they loved him off the field.

In some form. The trend is to have a bigger DB body at the SAM position. The championship game is an example.

Personally, I still like Keontra at LB. We don’t have anyone else there. If we can add some legit dudes at LB, maybe we move him back to striker and we’re OK. He’s just not much of a cover guy for me. Kind of straight-line speed. I think his best bet is bulking up as much as his body will allow.

Balom missed last season for a neck injury. We have no idea if he can go. And if Frierson moves to safety, we are down a striker. You get the idea. We are thin back there. I don’t understand the issue with getting a developed, experienced player with size as depth.

If we are using three safeties at all times, who are our backup safeties?

No idea on Balom. Last thing I heard was the neck injury, which makes me nervous.

I don’t agree with the argument that we are better off with guys like Dunson, Harrell and Keyshawn Washington. Those guys couldn’t play on a bad defense. Brini started on a great one.

If we play a striker, we are incredibly thin. It’s Frierson and nobody if we move Chase to LB. If we move JW to striker, we have no backup safeties. Bring in Brini in as depth. He started 11 games for an elite defense and is fully developed. He’s a better option than Jalen Harrell.

I’ve never been crazy about Oregon’s backs. Mario will have better skill talent here across the board, right away.

Balom is in the mix if not for injury. But neck injuries scare me. We could move Smith to striker but then we have an even bigger problem at LB.

A lot of snaps. If we use a striker, we are sneaky thin. Harrell, Dunson and Washington don't look promising. Balom has a neck injury, which is always dicey. Chase Smith should get moved to LB. Markeith Williams likely needs a year in the weight room. We are looking at 1 striker (Frierson)...

It was the WVU transfer who got hurt, Tykee Smith. Kimber is a CB.
