They've got it going on at Heritage. They've definitely made the commitment.

STA has a new QB, but they are absolutely loaded with impact players at the skill positions. The defense loses three players from the secondary who are playing at P5 schools. I know they reload, but it will be tough to replace King Mack, Conrad Hussey and Kimari Robinson. Losing Mark Fletcher...

An interesting tidbit from a friend with connections to the Gibbons' program is that they have had a harder time recruiting black players than STA and CM due to the location of the school (east of Federal Highway). According to this guy, as a result of the location of the school, there are not...

I think this is the answer. As other posters have pointed out, there are several schools in the vicinity that are recruiting heavily and they are taking the players who would otherwise have played for Northeast. Its sad, but that's the state of HS football in South Florida now.

Northeast HS in Fort Lauderdale (the school Stacy Coley went to) could only get 15 kids to go out for football this year.

I guess you weren’t at the game. Here is the url to STA’s recap: “http://www.hudl.com/v/2HYhuu”

STA should have to play Chaminade and IMG, but, as you said, Harriott will never go for it because he’s scared. It’s a lose-lose for him and he knows he’s a coaRch.

Your current school had STA on the ropes James Williams’ junior year there almost exclusively because he was the best player on the field that night. You have a pretty good team this year. Which private schools will you Most likely have to play in the playoffs this year?

A Heritage coach told a friend that Heritage had 25 seniors on their team in 2022-23 school year. That is pretty surprising. Don't worry, they have 20 kids coming in this summer. SMDH.

Good point about Smith v. Harriott and smaller schools. Smith not only helped STA players, he took pride in helping players from other area schools whose coaches couldn't or wouldn't help them. Harriott might be trying to do the same thing, but he doesn't appear to be as successful with it.

Why do you think that's happening? I think a lot of it is based on the portal and the extra covid year as well as the perception of college coaches that South Florida talent is down and that kids aren't going to STA like they used to because they know that STA has too many players.

It’s generally a lack of PT due to stockpiling talent and playing with a running clock in 90% of their games. STA has a lot of backups who would start at almost every other school in Broward and Dade, and they barely play because STA plays the starters until they get a running clock in the...

STA has had kids transfer out at a higher rate over the last year or so. Some of the parents see the handwriting on the wall and are not going to let Harriott F up their kid's future. I don't understand why that RB from IMG would transfer to STA with Jordan Lyle at STA. I would expect Lyle to...

No disrespect to you because you’ve proven your coaching ability, but the coaching at most South Florida schools is terrible. Some of these guys don’t appear to know anything.

Smith told players not to commit until they were ready to commit and you never saw a player decommit or flip on his watch. That is part of the reason schools recruited STA so hard. You knew the kids were talented, would stay eligible academically, generally stayed out of trouble and were...

The Harriott part of it is taking senior transfers. Coach Smith and Casullo didn’t do that. In addition to that, Harriott is out there stacking talent 4 deep and he doesn’t care if he has good players sitting on the bench.

There is very little neighborhood pride at this point. You see it at Dillard and maybe Ely. People are starting to get the message with STA at this point as they've had several kids transfer out and play at their new school including one of Macho's guys. I think you will see more of it...
