****. You and I are brothers from another mother. Been to both Avec and Publican and enjoyed both. Sepia was also amazing, as was Purple Pig. I also enjoyed Tru several years ago but sadly it closed.

Ha. Did Del Dotto. The owner has a rather interesting background, but we undoubtedly had fun. I mean, unlike other Napa tours we've done, this one was unapologeticly in favor of just getting trashed. Memorable for sure.

I had to go for work w/in the last year . . . ate at two of Edward Lee's joints since he's a darling of the food scene and was a bit underwhelmed. I ate at both his signature restaurant 610 Magnolia and Milkwood. I enjoyed Milkwood more. Both were good, but perhaps a bit too hyped.

What wineries are you guys a fan of? I enjoyed Joseph Phelps immensely. It's perched atop a hill and they do tastings outside. The wine will never taste better than it does at that moment. We also enjoy visiting Williams Selyem. Did a lunch/wine tasting at Paul Hobbs that was a blast. Copain...

Sonoma is definitely friendlier. Describing it as Bohemian is perfect. There's a vibe of "let's just chat over wine and get to know each other" with strangers that is pretty cool. Napa can definitely be more intimidating, although if you go often enough, you learn how to blend in if you happen...

****. A Bistro Jeantry reference. Yes! Good spot. So, the last time we were out in wine country, we met a local (from San Fran) who said that Napa has become quite disfavored b/c of how touristy it has gotten, and that "those in the know" were spending more time in Sonoma. I can't say I...

If you're local, Wild Forks carries it. It's pricey (I want to say b/w $20-25/pound) but it is **** good. It's not a thick cut; the times I've purchased it, it's about as thick as flap or flank steak. But it's really, really tender. Actually, one of the employees turned me onto it. He called it...

Ha. I googled this because I didn't know what it was. But it's just another name for ribeye cap. That is badass.

You guys talking about Shibuya in Vegas? I went there too and had an awesome experience but last I heard it had closed in 2016.

@motorcitycane Did you ever have a chance to go to Tru or Sepia in Chicago? Tru shut down w/in the last couple years but that was a really cool experience. I went to Sepia a couple years ago and it was really, really good. Chicago is a great eating city.

I've had the fortune to enjoy some very good restaurants over the years. Manresa is probably near the top. David Kinch has been on several shows. The French Laundry was an amazing experience too, just for the shear "show" of it all. Those two were likely the most memorable. As far as local, I...
