Tourney Central (It’s time for ball!)

Good thing the committee determined WVU and Oregon State were deserving of hosts over us

    Last D1 projection

LOL both bow out at home as expected. A joke these two got to host.

    Last D1 projection

0 excuse for Oregon State, and WVU to be hosting over us. Ole Miss is a toss-up, but the last spot at minimum should have gone to us. What did OSU do this year? Series losses to USC and Nevada, poor home record, lower RPI. Ole Miss lost 25 games this season. For every great win they had they...

    ACC Tournament

Yes. On paper they appear to have a way weaker SOS looking at who they played but apparently not significantly based on D1's ouput

    ACC Tournament

It's tough. I'd give them the edge based off 3-1, but we're their only upper tier series win and we were better in conference. The 3-1 is unfortunate for us but it was 4 home games for them.

Gino needed to get tossed after that Gill call, team lost life after it.

    ACC Tournament

Was that strike 3 call a foot off the plate also the correct call?

    ACC Tournament

Yes he was clearly tagged and Gil did nothing to drag the runner off the base. The runner grabbed Gil's wrist and his momentum carried him off. Being irrationally angry at other factors doesn't change the reality of the situation.

    ACC Tournament

The runner was out, what you posted is meaningless.

    ACC Tournament

Every single sport we get cheated by shoddy officiating, at what point does this get resolved? Weak of Gino not to get tossed after the Gil call.

    I can't see A&M not hosting

CFB revenues & profit, interesting read

That operates under the assumption that admitting and housing an athlete (or any student) actually costs what we charge for tuition (it doesn't otherwise UM would generate no profit). Again, cash flow vs. accounting, its not overly complex.

CFB revenues & profit, interesting read

In your diatribe a few months back, you also showcased little grasp of the difference between accounting profits and cash flow, and claimed investment banks worked with rich families for their clients (or something nonsensical to that nature). Despite your bluster, you seem to have little to...

What I’m Hearing on Miami’s Head Coaching Search - Sunday PM

No. This would take it up 100 levels. Imagine paying $10M to buy out a coach, then giving him $4-5M a year on top of that just to win 8, maybe 9 games max a season.

What I’m Hearing on Miami’s Head Coaching Search - Sunday PM

Hiring Diaz is the equivalent to hiring Shannon (slight improvement) in 2007. Hiring Cristobal (and paying his $10M) buyout would be an unprecedentedly stupid move for a school that thrives on making stupid athletic decisions.

    The buyout lies are disgusting

Also what does that mean, her parents were clients of an investment bank. What kind of ******* boutique shop are you working at where you’re doing deals for a family business lmao? IBs represent massive companies and family businesses!

    The buyout lies are disgusting

He claims to have worked IB but doesn’t know the basic differences between capital budgeting/operating budgets and accounting profits versus Cash Flow LMFAO. Super believable. How the **** are you valuing a company in IB if you can’t even understand the difference between a firms NI and CF...

    The buyout lies are disgusting

Lol yeah I’ve worked FP&A/Corp Dev at F500 firms and built AOPs but don’t understand how firms approach their budgeting. You initially used the term capital budgeting to describe a company putting together their operating budget. To me that shows you have a low level grasp on terminology let...

    The buyout lies are disgusting

Dude, please, UM isn't developing any budgets 7-8 years out beyond tracking costs associated with LT fixed assets/the endowment. That's unheard of in the private sector at Fortune 500 companies, let alone a 10k student University. CapEx spend was less than 7% of revenue at UM in 2017...
