Class Impact: Ladarius Tennison to Miami

Joyner was who he initially reminded me of as well in terms of play style/height. Little bit of Tim Irvin there too. That explosion tho, whew.

    Fall Camp Intel: Defense

In Diaz's defense the WLB is a more similar role to the MLB than it is the SLB. WLB/MLB are generally aligned inside the tackle area while the SLB (and now 'striker') line up wider, generally between the OT and slot receiver. Grouping the WLB with the MLB just makes more sense in how those...

Rosier accuracy will improve, 58% rate & 650 yards rushing 8 tds is the goal..

Rosier's accuracy can stay the same and his completion % can go up significantly. Inaccurate QBs are don't become accurate, but comp% also reflects throwing it to the correct receiver against the right coverage, or getting the ball out quicker vs pressure instead of throwing it away. Rosier...

Palm Beach Post's Evaluation on EE's for 2018

Hightower was a fringe 8/7, but I'm really iffy of guys who fight the ball which locked him into a 7 for me. If he doesn't have drops issue in college, he definitely deserves to be higher, but I saw enough to concern me. That said, the '7' tier is still a really good player. Starting caliber...

Palm Beach Post's Evaluation on EE's for 2018

I'm a huge proponent of athleticism>all for edge rushers (Justis Mosqueda's force players metric is pretty definitive). I could definitely see Rousseau ending up as a good player, because his length is insane and he is a really good football player. There just isn't enough evidence (as of the...

    2019 Defensive line Class

The difference is DTs (and DEs) rotate significantly more than the other positions. You win championships by having 2nd string DLs that are better than other teams starters. There's no reason to not take at least 3 in 2019.

Vincent Davis, Jr., RB, Cardinal Gibbons

His balance and feet are something else. Think he's best as a slot/motion runner. A creative run spread OC can have some fun with him.

    Interesting video (WR v. DB)

Physical tools are obviously a big part of being a corner but being able to read receivers like that is a special ability. You can have the quickest feet in the world but the DB breaking on the route 2 steps earlier will always get there first.

2018 Defensive Tackles NFL Draft Rankings

Walter Football (and most other 'draft scouts') is terrible. All draft rankings in Dec/January are terrible. There are obviously legit guys (Zierlein, Josh Norris) but most don't know anything that pro scouts don't tell them so the rankings suck until the draft is close.

Frierson: Storm 18 coming to finish what ‘17 class started

I still need to watch more but Frierson as the field safety (where Redwine plays) with Hall as the boundary safety (where Quan plays) seems like an insane combo. That role lets Frierson man up against receivers in addition to normal safety responsibilities.

DE Rousseau will sign early, recaps visit

Lawson was probably at his best in coverage and as an off ball LB. Seems to be Rousseau's best comparison at the moment. Rousseau's fluidity and movement at that height is really impressive. The question with him at DE is going to be leverage and how consistently he can generate power as a...

    The OL came to play.

Sacks are sacks but the "Hit" and "Pressure" numbers are mine. Last 2 columns are rated on # of dropbacks (passes-screens). Last year I had 7 sacks being the fault of the QB. This year that number is at 7 (6 Rosier, 1 Shirreffs). 2017 breakdown by group Sacks - 5 OT, 11 IOL, 1 RB, 7 QB...

    QB Read Draw

The only pass option on those is to the RB behind the LOS so it wouldn't be a flag. But the center usually waits a few seconds so that pass would be completed before he went downfield anyway. It's been killer in the red zone. 2 TDs the last 2 games. 72% success rate since we started running it...

    Demetrius Jackson knee injury

Hurts to lose him as a run defender before ND. Also forces McIntosh to play another 5-10 snaps a game in the pass down defense.

    Film Review of UNC Game

I had Mahoney being directly responsible for 5 bad runs and 2 pressures. And he only played 35 snaps. He was serviceable against Syracuse but my goodness that was bad. Hopefully Donaldson can stick at RG because it has been a huge issue since he got hurt. Gauthier needs to get a lot better...

QB Chart and Player Snaps through 6 games

Smith played nickel. I'm guessing Knowles is locked into backing up Quan with Carter/Finley behind Redwine. Don't know if they would trust one of the younger guys to start for Redwine but I would guess not. Hopefully he doesn't miss anymore time.

QB Chart and Player Snaps through 6 games

lmao I have walkon columns, he has one and 3 walkon WRs have 8. And a walkon LB has 3 snaps on defense. I choose weird things to be lazy about.

QB Chart and Player Snaps through 6 games

It's just formatting. He has 64 snaps at RG, 20 snaps at LG, 5 snaps at FB, 2 snaps at TE. Mahoney has the 10 snaps at center when Gauthier wasn't in.
