With 6 rb's on scholarship it seems that at least 1 will portal post-spring. If that happens this pick-up is a little State Farm. And who knows, maybe Wheatley-Humphery moves over to cb. Regardless, this move lends flexibility in terms of scholarship usage, potentially at one of two positions...

In the portal we've bagged a starting QB, center, and nickel/safety. I'd imagine at least one of the portal DT's starts, possibly both, and both will surely be rotational. That's 5 of 7, and the Vandy safety will compete to start. Only Poffenbarger's a clear-cut backup.
