This a bad comparison that you made simply because they're both white. Chickillo had obvious explosiveness and led the team in sacks as a freshman and sophomore before the staff tried to turn him into a DT. Patchan has 3.5 sacks in 5 season and hasn't shown much explosiveness the past 2 years...

Redding also has a chance. It's not like it's rare for us to start true freshman receivers. Ahmmon started and he didn't even enroll early. I like Jeremiah Payton, but Wiggins and Pope have been way too inconsistent to be guaranteed a starting spot.
