    Just once

I’d like to see us aim high and hit the mark. Why is it so hard to see that trying to sell a **** as a chocolate cupcake never works?

    That damned double edged sword!

Being a member of the ACC allows UM Administration to compete with the same lack of effort as the football team. They don’t have to do **** to collect on payday. The program will survive as long as we are in the conference. There is no urgency, or even need, to excel. We are so ****ed.

    OT - Black History Month

As a white guy born in 1945, here are my top three most important figures in the shaping of my views on race up to my mid-20s. This is a personal list for personal reasons. Your list will be different. Jackie Robinson Rosa Parks Martin Luther King Jr. Who you got?

    Manny is making me nervous.

I'm not an optimist by nature. But, Manny's moves so far have me looking forward to great things from this program. I just hope that feeling doesn't result in this again.

SIAP - Dan Enos as a player

Enos was Michigan State’s strating QB vs Miami in the game where Craig Erickson broke his hand. Miami won 26-20.

Two things should be obvious by now

The naming of Banda/Patke as co-dc were for placeholding purposes only. Richt has been contemplating his retirement for weeks (at least). He wasn’t going to name a real DC knowing that he was stepping down. And, if you accept that thought, UM is likely to have been screening HC replacements for...

    Congrats to Vandy and Purdue

The first bowl teams to finish with losing records this year.

Being an improvement over Richt is not enough.

I wish people would stop talking about "Coach A or B" being an improvement over Richt. No *****. He is a failure here. He should not in any way be viewed as the standard. Aim higher, much higher. Same with assistants. Listing excuses for lack of success is not the same as success.

    Possible hirings

Keep in mind that there is still much to shake out from this season. Firings can come fairly quickly, but the subsequent hirings will take longer. We don’t even know all the viable candidates for UM jobs at this point, if we are even looking (god, I hope so). We need to give it a couple of...

    Older guys - 35+

How did you follow the canes year round before the internet? When I was a kid in the 50s it was the Herald and the Daily News. Later it was the library’s old issue newspapers from around the country.

    Before Richt was hired

How many of you had his name in your top 5/10 wish list? Never mind that he was employed elsewhere. That has never discouraged us from wishing. I honestly never even considered him at all. I always glossed right over his name. I’ll bet almost no one here had him on their list either.

    Lol

    Dude, three sentences.

OK, so we still have room for more

    What’s next?

AP caught his first pass for Drake yesterday.

Does anyone think admission standards might loosen up?

I wonder if Richt had that discussion before agreeing to take the job. I'd like to see UM using NCAA standards.

For anyone surprised at the hate.

The haters of Miami went quiet(mostly) while we were stumbling around in the wilderness of bad coaches. But...they didn't go away. Now they surface once again. It's a good thing too, because we get to re-identify the ********. To use an admittedly extreme analogy: do people think there were no...

    If the situation was reversed

What if it was David ****sniffs team the was on the wrong side of the penalty disparity, and his team won on that last play. I wonder what his position would be.

If you thing attendance is bad so far..

You ain't seen nothin' yet B-b-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-nothin' yet Here's something that you never gonna forget B-b-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-nothin' yet

    Oh, you gotta love this

58 is not the most points given up to Clemson by an Al Golden coached team. His Temple team lost to Clemson 63-9. That would be funny if I could just stop vomiting.
