Random Observations on the Va Tech Game

A win is a win...but this went from being comfortable to a nail-biter fast. Way too many penalties (including some really d_mb ones) and poor tackling were the primary reasons. Overall, no complaints about not running more because the OL & RB rooms are depleted & it showed by the end of the...

    3/9/24 Game 15: Virginia 9-5 W (Largest Comeback Since 1992)

Catching up on Canes Baseball…and just saw this. Awesome win. Congrats to Blake Cyr and the rest of the team. Magical moment & a great win. Hope it will serve as a springboard for the rest of the season. Go Canes!

    One of the best ever!!

Was fortunate to see Andre outrun Nebraska & catch that first TD in the Rose Bowl. He looked like a man amongst boys & I knew the game was over at that point. Congrats to a great Cane & one of the best to ever do it. Well deserved.

    The Bank (2/17) (team)

Chris Johnson Jr is electric. Has world class speed. Simply needs carries and he will show you what he can do. Glad he’ll get a chance to shine in Spring ball.

Mia at BC 4:10PM tip off ACCN TV

C’mon now, Coach L just took us to the Elite 8 and Final Four in back-to-back seasons. We have some very good recruits coming in. Miami was THE ONLY TEAM IN THE NATION to have that level of success the prior two seasons. We lost some really important pieces from last year’s team. Coach L...

    Miami Flo's Predictions

Luke is a very good QB. His stock is rising. UGA taking notice after his performance in the State Championship. Projected to rise in the rankings & be a top 5 QB in his class. Not saying there aren’t better QBs in the class (there may well be) but he’s a really good one.

Rumor Keontra Is Not in the Portal

That’s really kind & classy of you to wish him well in his future endeavors! I’m sure he gave it his all as a Cane. Not every player is going to be the next Ray Lewis, Dan Morgan or Nate Webster.

    LIFW

Market cap of a company is not based solely on the float. It is calculated based on the total number of shares multiplied by the price per share. I worked with leading investment banks & elite hedge funds for over 25 years and I can assure you that Market Cap isn’t based solely on the value of...

BREAKING: Ken Dorsey fired by Buffalo!

100%. Hiring Dorsey would be a boss move by Mario. He’s a great football mind and elite QB coach. It would: 1) Significantly improve the play calling to make it more diverse (incorporating the TEs & RBs in the passing game) 2) Make our offense less predictable 3) Energize the fan base big...

    RB Options?

So it turns out Judkins was a take according to OSU’s coaching staff (which gets paid collectively in excess of $12 million per year to make such decisions for a blue blood program) but not according to the football savants on here. LOL.

    Want To Win A Title?

The bold part is absolutely not true. On D, I’d say: Guidry - very strong at Xs & Os. Better teacher than recruiter…and I think he’s a very good teacher. JT - very strong as both a teacher & a recruiter. Coach Joe - was previously taking heat for not being a great recruiter. I don’t know...

Albany transfer QB Reese Poffenbarger commits to Miami

Welcome to the U, Reese. Great to have you on the team. Excited to see what you can do in Orange & Green. Go Canes!

    Brian Hartline

Hartline is so overhyped. He’s a great recruiter. Period. Hartline is a slickster that’s succeeded in bringing in a lot of 4 and 5-star WRs but he’s not a good WR coach (good at the development aspect) or an OC. THE FACTS SUPPORT THIS. OSU was around 40th in the nation on Offense this yr...

    Finebaum on Miami

From a pure football standpoint, Finebaum’s take on Miami is one of the dum&est things you could ever hear in the media. “Never” is a really long time especially when all it takes is one coaching staff to keep the best talent home & we’d “never” lose another game. From a media/business...

    RB Options?

He's such a cancer that Ole Miss went 11-2 this yr. Plus, maybe he's learned something from his mistakes. Also, it was reported by reputable journalists that he viewed his NIL is inadequate at Ole Miss (which you can understand given his significant contributions). He may be a cancer but...

    RB Options?

He’s an All-SEC back (considered by many as the best back in the SEC) who has averaged 17 TDs per season (an insane number) for 34 TDs total in two (2) seasons. Unless he’s done something really serious (like committed a felony) or he’d be an absolute cancer in the locker room, how do you not...

LIVE POSTGAME: Canes beat #16 Clemson

Defense in the paint was much improved against Clemson vs what we saw against UK. That was really encouraging to me. Got to keep that up to have a really good season. Go Canes!

The Problem Mario/We are Facing Going Forward(Long)

Ken may prefer the NFL but what if he doesn't receive any quality NFL OC offers? That might cause him to re-consider his options. Going to a bad NFL team could literally end his NFL coaching career (and there are many bad NFL teams). Miami offers stability because Mario isn't going...

The Problem Mario/We are Facing Going Forward(Long)

Great post, OP. Hiring Dorsey would be a boss move & would completely change the narrative (which is hugely important at this point): 1) Great selling point to all recruits on Offense but especially top flight QBs, WRs and TEs. We could sell Ken's track record of significant improvement of...

    Swing and miss

Will Rogers would have been very good for us. “Just say no” on TVD (big arm but football research studies have shown that you have virtually zero percent chance of winning a game with 4-5 TOs). TVD single handedly cost us about 4 games this yr between 3-4 INTs plus some fumbles. His win %...
