I think our plate approach has been bad for decades now. These guys somehow manage to take pitches for strikes right in their wheelhouse, then flail away at the pitcher's pitch. We are too reliant on a pitcher making mistakes. Whenever a guy comes along and shows decent command, we are cooked.

I'm pretty proud of the fight they showed. This is a good (not yet great) team that is unfortunately severely limited at the most important position. It is what it is. Just the most glaring issue that needs fixing.
