The closest JUCO comparison I can think of for Bond is Bruce Irvin at WVU. Irvin came in as an undersized pass rusher but he's so explosive and gifted at running the arc that he had excellent production. I don't think Bond is as good as Irvin but he projects into a similar role.

Like I said, Lane knows how to protect his body. When you're as talented (and skinny) as he is that's a very good thing. Until he bulks up I don't want hm being "tough" across the middle. His value is on screens, deep balls and jump balls.

I agree with the first part but it's hard for me to believe the latter when you call it "diagnosing film".

Does a good job protecting himself from hits. Sick of seeing 2/3 of our receiving corps get injured over the course of a year. There's toughness and then there's dangerous reckless abandon. Our receivers fall in the latter sometimes.

Crown Coach Franklin. How often do you see any recruit mention a position coach that often in an interview? Franklin and Hooks clearly clicked, and that's a good sign for our chances of both landing him and getting him to make a big impact.
