Diaz fired the whole offense last season after a bad year. This year is worse.
Not saying fire everyone, but if there is no movement he’s just the same thing.
saying that’s why he got the job is empty conjecture. How stupid would it be of anyone to hire any coach to get two players. You hire a coach because they fit your system and can coach, if not this team has bigger issues and Manny would have fired him by now.
Those guys went to two better...
Bandy, Ivey, Blades, Frierson, Williams and Couch are all 4-Star corners who have committed to him from 2017-19.
If not landing a 5-star to come to a slightly above average ACC product is a failure then fire everyone now.
That would be Q. Williams and Chantz Williams at DE with Robert and Riggins at DT with room for one more.
Rivers and Moise as interior OL.
Makes more sense numbers wise.
I don’t see how you can blame the kid here.
Blame recruiting. Blame coaching.
Not a true freshman starting his first game against an elite DL.
If he belongs at App State blame the coaches for offering and tossing him out there as a true frosh.
The Martell thing is insane.
He’s an athletic dude but how do you switch positions in one week and get that many snaps against a top 10 team over a bunch of blue chip guys.
Everyone is gonna play the results of this either way.
If he lands the kid, it’s going to be because he didn’t push for a commitment early, where kids statistically flake out more after the fact If he doesn’t, it will be “why didn’t he get on him early.”
Just judge the class for what it is...
He can definitely play at this level. If he’s not a QB, than half of QB’s in college football need to change positions too. The thing is he’s such a good athlete that it leads to that more with him to compensate.
That sounds great but it’s unrealistic. If the starter gets in off the field trouble or has academic struggles than of course something has to change but you don’t name a starting QB and have him on a short leash. That’s the point of evaluating the three of them for eight months.
