PODCAST: DMoney with the scoop on spring football

I'm definitely worried about DE depth if one of our dudes get injured, But I've never been worried about our starters along the DL. I love all 5 our DE's. We just need more. DT is similar. I definitely expect big things from Ford and Nesta, and especially Willis. I hope this Tito grad transfer dude is ready to get minutes at NT, cause I want Nesta playing at 3tech, not 1tech.

So yeah sounds like St. Louis is gunna be LT for sure instead of RT. That makes 3 OL positions essentially locked down. With St Louis at LT, Gauthier at C, and Donaldson at RG. I just hope St. Louis steps up in the run game.

curious if you have any thoughts on how wilder and jennings are coming along. i like both athletically (wilder seems especially intriguing) and they looked encouraging in garbage time last year

Strong from D$ as usual. Always an easy listen. Gotta get Stefan up to speed on his podcasting to get him more comfortable. Maybe we should instruct him to start twitter beef like Peter did? Always made for a fun listen.

lol at people who said St. Louis needed to be benched a few weeks back , he’s the best offensive lineman we have and was top 2 last season as well...

Jarren Williams hype is definitely building man

Also very encouraging in the progression of pat bethel. People forget about him but he’s talented and from what dmoney is saying very strong. Excited to see him play this season

Miami needs to lock up Clemson DT Grad Transfer Sterling Johnson. We need bodies ready to go from day against LSU.

Go Canes

Love the Robert Burns news. Kid is talented as ****. Hoping he has finally shook the injury bug

Good stuff @DMoney and Happy belated Birthday to your better half!

That's some very encouraging news regarding DE, as it relates to Patchen and Rousseau. I still have flashbacks of Patchen putting Frenchy on his back at F$U during his freshman year. It was only one play, but ****, It was a thing of beauty. I was like, who in the **** is that white guy that just got shot out of a cannon. I'm so excited about him!

Cager, Cager, Cager! Many are not buying into this guy yet, but he is clearly carrying his momentum from the latter part of last season, into this spring, which is a great sign. I know Richt has said in the past that they should have moved Thomas from the slot to the Z receiver a lot earlier in the season last year. However, he also said that he wants the best 3 receivers on the field at the same time. If Cager continues to play at this level, I can see Thomas sliding back into the slot as a starter so that he, Richards, and Cager are on the field at the same time. During a recent interview, Thomas actually said that he feels more comfortable at the Y (slot) receiver position. Good times are ahead!

I really hope Perry makes a big jump by summer camp and take the job, we need a stud qb to get the ball to these weapons..

To be fair, Rousseau was a 4* on Rivals with offers from LSU and USCw, and just missed the 4* cut in the Composite rankings.
I think that's a little different than guys like Antonio Bryant that people legit use to say, "Who?" when he became a star.

This is worse to me. A 6’6 guy hiding in plain sight.

If he hits, it would be more of a bad evaluation than a hidden gem.

would have really liked to hear that Dean turned the corner as a player since he he has all the traits to be a stud.. i was also hoping to hear positive news about mike Harley's development. i personally like him more than jeff and was hoping to hear him push for a dominant role in the offense. than again it is just spring ball

Great stuff as always D$. A little concerning none of the QB's have taking the leap and grasped the starting role but maybe that comes with the scrimmages/spring game. Also, sounds like we really thin at a few areas and dying for the rest of the Storm18 class to get on campus but hopefully we stay healthy and continue our progress!

What a great podcast, truly. Smart, fast-paced, packed with info and insight. Congrats...

Great podcast, ive said it several times if Mac and Norton would have stayed they could have knocked off Clemson. Plus could have probably shirted Miller. This cycle needs to be a big # like around 27. We need to plug all these holes.

We do Not need more DTs. We're already getting a grad transfer DT.
Had he been a DE, then I wouldn't be completely against it. But thats the only position I'd take another Transfer at.

We have 7 DTs on the roster. And when we go pass rush packages, one of them comes off the field. DE is the MUCH bigger need for depth players.
DT we are fine at.

3t: Willis > Bethel/Nesta > Martin
1t: Ford > Tito > Miller

We have a 3 deep. DE we are only 2 deep
SDE: Joe/Demetrius > Patchan
WDE: Joe/Garvin > Rousseau
