FSU Commit Quashon Fuller Updates Recruitment

Matthew_Suero
4-star DT Quashon Fuller has been committed to FSU since February of 2017, but is obviously not happy about their play to start the season. He does, however, feel as if the Seminoles can get things turned around.

“I feel like they have a lot to improve on. Basically, they can get back on track by just playing football. They have to get more comfortable with the playbook and then they can execute their assignments. I feel like they will be good.”

All of the 2019 commits were expecting better from the Seminoles this year, but the attitude amongst the group remains mostly positive.

“They are saying that we can go in and change it. I’m actually glad to be a part of a group of people like that because sometimes kids my age will be like, ‘Man this sucks, I’m going somewhere else’. I feel like they are hanging in there and I believe we can do something.”

FSU D-Line Coach Odell Haggins has a tough fight ahead of him, as Coach Saban from Alabama, Coach Mullen from Florida, and Coach Cooney from Miami are all pushing for a flip. With that being said, Haggins has been able to develop a strong relationship with Fuller over the years.

“He’s just being a regular father figure. I feel like he’s a good guy and he’s a great coach. He’s good at getting you prepared for the next level. I feel like he’s a perfect fit for who I’d like to play for.”

As for Miami, Fuller says UM is still in a strong position with him and Fuller’s most recent UM visit was for the “Miami Nights” barbeque.

“I was just more focused on building a relationship with the players and the coaches,” Fuller said on Miami Nights. “I’ve already seen the school part of it. And I liked to see the area around it, it was nice. My dad stays up there, so I'd be able to see him more. At Miami, all I've got to do is work hard and Miami will be the old Miami again.”

Fuller will be in Tallahassee this weekend for an unofficial visit to watch FSU take on Northern Illinois. He will also visit Miami in the near future for an unofficial visit, but most likely not for the FSU game since it interferes with his homecoming. Fuller is also set to visit Alabama for the Iron Bowl against Auburn. As for official visits, FSU, Miami, Alabama, and Florida will all get one, but the 5th is yet to be determined.

No chance with this kid, don't know why we are wasting our time. Especially with all the games he's been playing.

Sounds all Nole

The great part of the article is hearing their recruits talk about how “they can change it” the same thing we’ve heard from our recruits as we struggled for a decade

Not to thread jack but a lot of smoke about O’dell hanging it up soon. Started out as a twitter rumor yday but apparently it has some legs according to a reputable poster on Noles board. That would likely have some damage on their DL class. I think that’s the only thing that would make this kid legit think about signing elsewhere honestly.

I’m betting on Odell Haggins the best DL recruiter in the country. Kid sounds like an intelligent kid.

Funny he doesn't want to visit us for the Miami-FSU game....probably because he doesn't want to see FSU get smacked after he predicted they would beat us

Plainly positioning for higher bag in this auction smart kid.

As long as Cooney is the main one on him, I'm good. Wouldn't waste any more resources or staff time on him. Also, no free tickets.

Done and dusted.

The fact that he said we had to smash them to make a move with him said it all. Trust you can sign with them and we'll make you regret it later

This is the first interview where he sounds like he has a decent head on his shoulders. Let it play out.

Still early in the season. Miami needs to have a good year and smoke FSU and FSU needs to continue doing what they are doing and he will flip. If he doesn’t, Munoz, Ingraham, Blissett, and Holley is the DT haul.

I was just thinking this, too. I doubt we take 5 DT's. Ingraham over Fuller all day. This kid might not even get an OV invite or have a committable offer if Ingraham commits.

Exactly if Miami plans on keeping all 4 of Ingraham commits, they will shut it down there. I thought Munoz would be dropped but I guess they like him. If he is dropped later then turn it up on Fuller.
