Great news! We need more "consensus" 4 and 5 stars to round out the class!

For the guys who have watched his tape thourougly, what is Deejay's best position in terms of potential/cieling.

This kid can obviously ball out, but I think him playing two ways will be short lived once we get the right talent in place. Not many times at the P5 schools who have playoff aspirations do you see a kid playing both ways unless they are an absolute freak of nature, even then it is minimal.

I can see him playing both ways for maybe his first two years here just because we have depth concerns (true playmakers) at the WR and DB positions, but once we start to fill those holes with more elite talent what will his primary postion eventually be in the later years of his career?

He'll never play both ways here. It's a good pitch, but it's nonsense. He'll play O or D and be in the mix as a return man.

Yea, I doubt he ever plays two positions simultaneously here. I could see him starting out at WR and later switching to DB but I seriously doubt he's going to be getting his Charles Woodson on. Big pick up though. Need more versatile athletes like this. Welcome Deejay!

Welcome to the U! Big time addition to this class.

Probably...

I'm not aware of a single player playing on both sides of the ball for Miami. But it'll happen at some point....

Maybe he's the one who'll start it...

It's also nice to hear the word "leader" when talking about him....

Butch built his dynasty by finding players with lots of leadership qualities....

A nice addition to the 2017 class. Now let's add one more from Georgia - maybe one of those DEs we're recruiting...

Tend to agree with you and as dynamic as he can be with the ball in his hands I would also love to see him bring that type of athleticism to corner.

I'm hoping whatever position he starts he does great and stays there.Except for a few exceptions(Shields) most guys that switch positions after a year or two end up nothing but jags.

Most of his film is at QB. Has a few plays scattered out from frosh-junior year on D and some sophomore film at WR. He looks more like a WR to me. Blocks pretty well down field, can stretch the field, take an end around and find a hole, and a nice short/intermediate game. Probably just has natural instincts on D and good athleticism but theres really not enough film to tell.

He says he models his game after Randall Cobb and that's an ideal comparison imo. I played against Cobb in high school where he was a QB. He even played some QB at Kentucky. Similar size, frame, and athleticism. Cobb may be a little faster in long distance/40.

If all goes as planned recruiting DBs and getting Henderson, Brini, and Marco Wilson and a few safety targets of Wright, Carter, F'agan, Smith, etc etc he will never have a reason to play defense to begin with.
