I have not really had the opportunity to give my thoughts on Miami’s class recently so this week I will take a look at both sides of the ball, starting with the offense in this article.

As far as general thoughts, I share the same sentiment that most of you do in that it is tough to be fully excited about what is happening because it is so early in the process. “If Miami wins, they will come…” will be something that I believe holds true here, ...

On Saturday, Nike Football's 'The Opening Regional' took over the campus of American Heritage-Plantation as some of the top talent from across the state came to show their skills and hopefully earn the golden ticket to attend Nike's 'The Opening'.

I spoke with numerous 'Canes recruits at the camp and below are their thoughts.

2016 Dwyer (Fla.) WR Isaiah Johnson (Miami commit):
"It's great to be committed to your hometown team you know," said Johnson. Johnson was originally committed to Louisville but...

2016 Naples (Fla.) running back Carlin Fils-Aime could be considered a jack of all trades as he possesses good speed, good size and very good feet for a running back. Despite all those great attributes, Aime feels one talent stands above the rest.

“I feel like my ability to see the holes is my best talent. Probably reading holes and my vision is where I feel I’m the best.”

One area that Fils-Aime is looking to improve this off-season is catching the ball out of the backfield.

Myself along with StateOfTheU's Alejandro Narciso were able to talk with Killian Head Coach Cory Johnson, as well as Miami signee Sheldrick Redwine. We got on the field with Sheldrick and were also able to break down JaQuan Johnson's game.

For the past few seasons, the Miami Hurricanes have been trying to revamp their defensive line and there is no better way to do that than recruiting some of the top talents from across the state.

One of the players Miami is recruiting heavily in the 2016 recruiting cycle is Jacksonville Raines (Fla.) defensive end JaQuan Bailey.

Bailey has visited Coral Gables a few times now and he has a lot that sticks out for him.

    "I mean I just like everything. I...

Ryan Williams has been through more than most during his football career. After winning a state title his senior year of high school in 2009 at local powerhouse Miramar, Williams headed to Memphis for his freshman year of college.

The 6-6, 225-pound QB started for the Tigers during his true freshman year, and transferred to Miami following that season in hopes of competing for a starting job.

“The maturity I have started as a freshman when I was at Memphis and started as a true freshman. I had to sit out a year ...

Coming out of Hollywood Hills High School four years ago, Thurston Armbrister was an unranked recruit who many Canes fans were questioning why he was even offered. After a highly productive career at Miami, Armbrister is still working to prove the naysayers wrong.

“I didn’t have any offers. I’ve always been an underdog and it gives me a reason to work harder. I felt like I had proved myself enough to get invited to the combine, so I need to continue to work harder and get better,” Armbrister said.

    Armbrister’s production...

The University of Miami continued it’s success at Gulliver (Fla.) high school as they secured another commitment from 2017 running back Robert Burns.

Burns joins three other teammates who are committed to the Hurricanes and says getting a chance to play alongside them is something he cherishes.

“It means the world to me. I’ve been playing with those guys since pop warner, 10-11 years old. To get a chance to play together...

This weeks polls are out and the consensus seems to be that the University of Miami baseball team still does not suck. Most polls dropped the Canes a spot or two, which makes sense considering they did lose the series. This is a far cry from many fans reactions after the Canes dropped two of three from the University of Florida this past weekend.

The scores of the games? 4-3 Gators, 7-2 Canes, 2-1 Gators, respectively. ...

Westminster Christian is quietly becoming a school that produces division-1 talent each recruiting cycle. Next up for the Warriors is 2016 Jumbo ATH John Raine (6-3, 235), who has an interesting story.
