**To sum up the spring game for those of you who couldn’t make it: everything that happened Saturday must be taken with a grain of salt.

--The first thing I noticed while roaming the sidelines and talking to people close to the team was that this was nothing more than a show for the fans. All of the real scrimmage stuff is done in closed practices.

--Even James Coley told me after the game, “He (Brad) can do a lot more this year, but we obviously weren’t going to show any of that today. Everything today was extremely vanilla.”

--Another source told me that the offense was running different four verticals concepts all day. Not ...

-Jack Allison looked very impressive at during the 7 on 7 play. He showed great arm strength and was very accurate throughout the day. There were a couple nice touch passes he made into the corner of the endzone as well that some college QB’s struggle to make. The most impressive part to me is that this is coming off his ankle rehab that ended in February. Many people I spoken to believe (including me) that Allison could easily compete for the...

2016 Coral Gables (Fla.) running back Amir Rasul has more than enough experience in track to consider him a veteran. Rasul even posted record times as an eighth grader and won first place his freshman year at the State final track meet for the 100-meter dash with a 10.81 time.

“I won the 100-meter dash, it was exhilarating. It shows that anything can happen and I was really happy about it.”

Rasul admits that his Track and Field experience helps on the football field when it comes to breaking...

I was able to catch up with Canes Baseball Head Coach Jim Morris prior to Miami's game three loss to Wake Forest. The Canes took the series in Winston-Salem.

As Miami awaits the winner of Arizona State/Richmond for the opportunity to reach their first NIT Final Four, I highlight some of the storylines as we look ahead to the offseason. Although it was a disappointment that Miami did not make the big dance, there are positives to take away from the year, including Joe Thomas being the only graduating player. The Canes look to be in prime position to make a lot of noise in the ACC in 2015.

Look for more reports on the basketball team like this over the ...

It was an easy decision for 2016 Columbus (Fla.) linebacker Joshua Uche to commit to the University of Miami today, as it was a moment he had been waiting for quite some time.

“It’s always been my dream school, so I thought ‘why not?’. I’ve always wanted to go there and it’s been my dream school growing up and as soon as I got the opportunity, I seized it.”

Uche spoke with defensive line coach Randy Melvin when he committed and said the coach was more than happy when he pledged to the ‘Canes.

    “I...

Last week, I broke down Miami's 2016 offensive class. Tonight, we look at the defense. The number one thing that jumps out to me about this side of the ball for the 2016 class is the versatility across the board. A number of these guys can play multiple spots and that is a great weapon to have at your disposal as a defense.

I am impressed at the number of twitchy athletes already compiled in this group, which is something that we’ve seen the staff slowly stockpiling over the past couple of classes. The strength of this entire class right now seems to be ...

Earlier today, I had the chance to do an interview with Xavier Williams teammate and close friend Shaun "Worm" Shivers. Both from once South Florida high school football powerhouse Chaminade-Madonna.

I also had the chance to speak with Xavier Williams himself.

Xavier is another young, up and coming class of 2018 football prospect from Chaminade-Madonna. Standing in at 6'0" 175.

Xavier is only a freshman in high school but he has been receiving interest from some schools already. He also happens to be another in the duo of some of the youngest kids on the South Florida Express 7on7 team along with Shaun "Worm" Shivers.

I asked Xavier about his thoughts on Chaminade-Madonna's new head coach Jason Milgrom, the Cocoa Beach ...

This past weekend at 'The Opening' regional in Miami, Miami Hurricane commit Sam Bruce became the first wide-receiver to be invited to 'The Opening' finals in Beaverton, Oregon in July. Only 150 of the top football players in the country are invited to the illustrious camp a year, and Bruce described it as an "honor" to receive his invite.

"It's just such a great feeling," said Bruce just moments after his invite. "It's definitely a dream come...
