Zack Moss reminds me of Mike James. The work ethic mentions were aplenty with him in HS too, and so were the fullback mentions as far as what he would be collegiately.

I'm willing to be patient here and let the kid develop. If he bulks up and becomes a good FB that can catch the ball a little here & there, great. If he develops a little more feel as a runner and becomes a solid HB ala James, that will be awesome too.

Staff seems to always want a "Pat Hill/Maurice Hagens" type on the team. That's one thing we def don't have this year. I agree it was early to take this kid but ****, if he doesn't pan out, we all know what will happen to him anyway.

Walter Tucker is simliar to them, not as big.

i like Zack's tape and his skill set but i'm just not sure about his comp.

Fils-Aime is the best back in Florida, really want him.

Here is a Mater Academy Charter HS 2014 Schedule They play in 7A classification

Miami Northwestern 42-20 Loss
Keys Gate (Homestead, FL) 34-21 win
Hialeah-Miami Lakes (Hialeah, FL) 14-6 win
@ Venice (Venice, FL) 14-7 Loss
@ Goleman (Miami, FL) 28-0 win
Westland Hialeah (Hialeah, FL) 43-0 win
@ Mourning (North Miami, FL) 51-0 win
Miami Springs (Miami Springs, FL) 28-9 win
American (Hialeah, FL) 10-6 loss
@ Somerset Academy (Pembroke Pines, FL) 35-20 win
@ St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) 57-0 Loss (State Qtr Finals)

So 2016 RB Zack Moss plays some really good competition (I was surprised myself) at Mater Academy Charter.

Go Canes

i tell you what that isn't too bad. 4 good to decent teams all losses but still decent teams.

If we did indeed take him as a FB, golden needs to make sure his other recruits(Fils-Aime and Killins) know that he got someone to block for them. Solid pick up, my only concern is Golden is getting off track a little with some of the signings, he needs to take advantage of this class, no room for development, take in as much studs as you can and create depth and competition. Everybody Golden gets in this class should be able to contribute even though some will definitely redshirt, but that's the state of mind Golden has to have. This can be one of the best classes we ever had but it starts with Golden.

I'm all for having him as a FB/H-Back type as he is ideal for that role. Can catch, block and he's tough and could be used in short yardage.

But if we are talking pure RB, I would pass on him.

I'm assuming he's being taken for the role I feel he's suited for.

Fils-Aime is the runningback we need to lock up in this class. Brings elite Homerun threat ability and I personally believe he's the best back in the state. Similar type of back like Rasul is but Fils-Aime is more polished while Rasul still a bit raw.

Burnett a two way athlete but I do love his ability at RB too.

ALL the people will be complaining had this kid reached a 4th star and commited to Florida.. ppl would yell "how come he left miami? Wheres that fence?" , its called INVESTING in kids, Ed Reed was a 2star player, this kid's progress will be steady, im confident

The ole "Ed Reed" scenario. Lmao

Lol. Yeah I use to use it a lot too but its starting to get old now. We are approaching the 20 year mark in regards to when Ed Reed was recruited out of HS. (1997) Time to let that go.

PLUS....we're talking about BUTCH DAVIS recruiting a 2 star guy vs. Al Golden recruiting....Night and Day.

LMAO @ dudes taking it back to the 90s to mention Ed Reed being a 2 star.

This thing called the internet has changed the recruiting game.

Fellas need to wake up from their deeeeeep sleeeeep and recognize that things have changed.

LMAO, @ two star recruits being mentioned these days. LOL.

The skinny: Moss, who committed to Miami hours before this story was published, recently won the running back MVP award at a stacked Rivals Camp stop. In the weeks following the camp, he picked up an offer from the Hurricanes during a campus visit. His physique is impressive and he has proven to be a matchup nightmare when it comes to the passing game. His build allows him to run with solid power as well. When college coaches get a look at the work he has done in the weight room and couple that with the explosiveness he possesses, the offers will come. Moss may have made a quick commitment to Miami, but that won't stop other schools from calling this spring. The Hurricanes will likely be forced to work if they are to hang on to Moss until National Signing Day

This from another site. From what I have read the kid won RB MVP at a stacked Rivals camp. Seems to be a common opinion, from a couple other sites, that he is about to blow up and teams will come calling. There's still room for Fils Aime since we only got 1 rb last year. McArthur Burnett could potentially be a better DB.

Clowns on here clueless. He won mvp at rivals camñ and theres an article on him on rivals as a slept on a recruit whos offer sheet is going to soar and its going to be a battle to keep him commited

And when we do lose him fools on here calling him a reach is gonna be crying about how this could happen lol

"I love it there, have been to the U about six or seven times this year already," Moss said. "I kind of knew half the players there already, grew up with some of them. And now they have Josh Darrow, he's tracked me since I came into high school, so we have a good relationship."

Here's a comeback to that. "Butch Davis was the best at developing talent." And we all know who isn't.

Hard worker who is good in blitz pickup. This is a take for sure. Great get.

Talent development is not a problem with this Staff

You wanna know what's scary?

Our FB Walter Tucker is faster than all of our other RBs...

Let that sink in.

Golden has whiffed on all the RBs with elite speed the last 3 years.

Need to bring in CFA this cycle.

If the plan is to take Zack Moss as a Power back/FB and still go all out for CFA and keep Burnett(ATH[DB/RB]) and Rasul then I'm all for it.

I just don't want to be scaring off elite RBs like CFA with a crowded RB commit list.

Moss just withdrew from Mater Academy expected to land at Hallandale. Hallandale is LOADED.
