Tre Donaldson delivered another big-time performance against an ACC opponent, pouring in 23 points to help Miami knock off the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Along with the win, Donaldson reached a milestone every college player works toward, surpassing 1,000 career points.

Donaldson hit the mark in just his third season of college basketball after beginning his career at Auburn as a freshman, spending his sophomore year at Michigan, and now thriving at Miami. He has been a starter at both Michigan and Miami, after coming off the bench during his freshman season at Auburn.

Donaldson helped power Miami to an 81–69 win, pushing the Hurricanes to a 15–2 start — the best start in program history. Even more impressive, Miami is now a perfect 4–0 in ACC play.

Donaldson led the way with 23 points, five assists, and three steals, shooting 8-of-14 from the field and a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

On the season, Donaldson is averaging 16.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game for the Hurricanes during the 2025–26 campaign.

What a moment to be Tre Donaldson, and what a week it’s been to be a Miami Hurricane.

Tre was really good at Michigan last season as well. I hope Miami is able to keep him for one more season but he may be ready to test the NBA waters.

He'll be a big loss whenever he leaves.

Despite the rest of our highly capable starters. Tre is the "go to" guy on this squad. The player who has to have the ball in his hands with the clock ticking down and the game in doubt.
