Tim Irvin Recap

Tim Irvin Recap

Kyle Liburd
Tim Irvin knows there is no offseason. He believes his team has the ability to win a state title this year. In order to reach that goal, he has been preparing for his senior season since his junior season ended.

“Basically I’ve been just working on my quickness and coming down the hill as a safety. I’m working on it because at the next level I will be playing free safety and strong safety. I want to get bigger, faster, and stronger in the weight room.”

As far as the recruiting process goes, Tim Irvin is being patient and giving every team a chance.

“As of right now I’m open. I do not have any top schools and I am just thanking God for this opportunity.”

Irvin visited the University of Florida two weeks ago and summarized his time up there.

“The visit was really good. When I went up there I felt like I was at home and I had a great bond with the coaches. The education standpoint and the campus were really nice. It felt like it was a good place.”

Although he has no official leaders, the University of Florida and the University of Miami have been reported to be the two schools in the lead. UF’s DB coach has built a great bond with Tim.

“T-Rob (UF’s DB coach) said I could come in and be like a Matt Elam type safety. He likes how I’m aggressive and how I am always around the ball. He believes I could come in and impact the school.”

Paul Williams and Al Golden are Tim’s main recruiters from Miami. Over the past couple years; he has built a great bond with them.

“With UM, I’m from Miami and it is a great school. When I am down there me and those coaches have a great bond and I talk to the players they tell me how things are from an education standpoint, how the campus is, and stuff like that. It is just a nice place all around.”

Irvin is taking the process slowly because he wants to decide on a school and stick to his commitment. When he makes a decision, Irvin touched upon the criteria a school must meet to secure his signature.

“The most important things to me are seeing where I can adapt for the next three to four years, seeing if I can leave home or not, and an education standpoint. If football does not work out what will be my backup plan.”

He was with Mike for a week. He is with Sedric everyday. Sedric has a lot more pull on Tim than Mike and to be honest neither has that much pull. Tim really is going to do what he wants and feels is best.

Stop getting worried, he will take his time and make the best decision for himself which ill still bet on Miami

In the end he's a Cane IMO but this will go till the end cause he genuinely does like UF a lot

Not going to sweat a 5'9 safety

QB and DL is what we need

Kaaya and Allison check

Chad thomas
Demetrius Jackson
Trent Harris
Mike Smith
Anthony moten
Courtel Jenkins
Scott patchan
Richard McIntosh
Jason Strowbridge
Ryan Fines
Plus 1 more elite DT

GOOD haul

More and more reason to cheer for those UF bums to lose every weekend so T-Rob can get fired

i wish we get the kid, but I know Al will have a back-up if he goes to gainesville.

I always wish the gaytors lose every game, but I have to ill will towards T-Rob. He just doing his job like every other recruiter. Its Tim's decision and and we got a lot in our favor to land him. So until he's ready to announce nothing to report like this story.

I need no additional reasons to root against UF. As for TRob, his interests are not aligned with my interests at this time, so **** him.
