RB Patrick Visiting Miami

RB Patrick Visiting Miami

Tito Benach
2015 Timber Creek (Fla.) running back Jacques Patrick has already been rated by many scouts as one of the top backs in the nation for his class.

Patrick helped those experts claims by having a terrific sophomore campaign with incredible stats.

“This past season I rushed for 2,081 yards and 31 touchdowns.”

Patrick has been hearing from multiple schools already including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Miami.

“I talked with Alabama today, Georgia yesterday as well as Florida State. I talked with Miami about a week ago as well.”

Miami is one school that Patrick seems to like and he got a chance to see what the university was actually like on his Junior Day visit.

“Its a medium interest level, I got a chance to go down there and talk to coach Golden and see the facility but my interest level in them got higher after I visited.”

The Timber Creek product did like a number of aspects that Miami offered while down in Coral Gables.

“I like the city and the campus, you can get a good education and play big-time football. It’s just a school and an environment that I could fit at.”

One thing fans offer as a selling point for Patrick is the opportunity, to play with a spectacular running back in Duke Johnson.

“I actually met Duke when I went to the junior day. Duke is really good and his play speaks for itself. I mean me and him in the same backfield would be a nasty combination.”

The 6’2, 200-pounder is getting recruited by running backs coach Hurlie Brown and says he speaks with the coach on several occasions.

“He seems like a good guy, I’ve talked to him three times already. I actually talked to him on the day he got the job and a couple other times.”

Patrick is planning a visit for March 9th back to see Miami again and attend the Hurricanes basketball game.

As far as a list of school, Patrick did list Florida as an early leader, but did give some insight on how Miami could get there.

“If I really like it on the visit next week, it will definitely help them out.”

Where's Timber Creek? It sounds like nowhere near south Florida.

Hope he is not too attached to his high school number like many kids are.

If so I wonder if we would take it out of retirement to entice him to UM? Probably not.

Big kid for a 2015. likely up to 220-230 range when he gets to college.
Lets not bad mouth potential recruits. They are both future 5/high 4 stars. No need to compare Kobe and Lebron here.
OH YEAH WELL KOBE IS BETTER THEN LEBRON BECAUSE HE HAS FIVE RINGS WHICH HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CURRENT PLAYING ABILITY OR CURRENT SKILL BUT IT STILL MEANS HE'S BETTER!!!!!

Yes...Timber Creek is a relatively new school in east Orlando. About 15 min's or so from Hagarty HS...where uf's Driskoll went. I'm sure this kid, and his team, have seen many S. FL players in the Florida HS championships in the Citrus Bowl the past few years.
