I learned after the podcast there's apparently a heavy rainstorm that might affect the game. Different perspective and analysis if we play in a slop.
curious your take on that. I’ve been thinking that many people consider it a great equalizer but I don’t. Sure it slows things down a bit but the plays that Trevor and etienne make will be on a dry or wet field. Especially the latter if we can’t wrap up. That said, if it’s really wet and cut back lanes are challenging for etienne, I like our OL matchup.

I think it changes the dynamic of the game. Not sure we'd see a higher scoring affair if it's a true slop. I had no idea about this storm and still don't know the details. If it's as bad as I was told, it turns the game into a likely toe-to-toe fight. While that removes a lot of our possible offensive mismatches, at least it's a punch fest?
Great analysis @LuCane and @DMoney. I had a similar convo with one of my boys. I agree with several points that were discussed.
I literally texted my boy Clemsons LB's and S's can be had in the passing game especially #24 and #47. I said Brevin and Mallory have to eat and the RBs also have to be heavily involved in the passing game. The last point I made for the offense was Pope has to make some special plays finally.
On defense its simple but not easy. Just dont give up the big play. @LuCane is right your probably not stop these guys but my view is make them sustain drives. 12 play drives are fine but you cant give up the 3 play 80 yard drive. If they score make them execute the whole way, nothing easy.
@DMoney you hit it on the head, on defense do what you do just do it to the best of your ability. Our DLine has to be a factor.

That intro was too dope 
Very, very unlikely it's true slop. I'm heading up tomorrow morning so I've been tracking it very closely. It's weather, so who the fvck really knows, right? But the forecast has been getting better and better all week. It called for 1.8" of rain on Monday morning. Now as of this minute, they're showing 0.75", and rain only starting overnight Friday night/Saturday morning. So, it may rain, and it may rain for a long time, but it's not going to be heavy. The field shouldn't be soup. Especially because it's dry right now and has been for several days, they've had a gorgeous week so far in Clemson. No rain for several days, at least.
I do not think the weather will be a big factor. Also temperatures and wind look fine. Upper 60s at kickoff with 6 MPH winds. I do not think this is a "weather" game. Some rain and moisture possibly, maybe a tiny impact on footing but it's not going to be 2003 Miami vs FSU, the best everyone can tell right now.

I especially agree with the takes on the WRs and the CBs.
Hitting a WR early will keep them honest and help flip the math in our favor. And if he is ever gonna do anything here, the guy should be Pope.
At CB, we gotta live and die with those guys in one-on-ones, basically because there is no other option. And, unfortunately, we have to do it against a generational talent who can make every throw with unbelievable accuracy.
Win the coin toss, take the ball first, and march down and score. Punch them in the mouth, and let them know we can play. Then let the chips fall where they may.

Soo you think if its raining starting friday night and all day saturday it wont be a slop? Playing in 60s and rain all game.. Oh boy, I dont know what to say..
Do you remember the FSU game we won about 15 years ago that was played in the rain? I remember that year we had a couple weeks of downpours before the game. That was before we had the lightning warning system that cancels the practice. We got a lot of reps in the rain and it helped us in the game. We should have sprinklers installed on Greentree.
As you spend time up there, would love to hear any updates. I don't follow the weather and have avoided the news lately, so when I realized a whatsapp chat had mentioned the storm, I was surprised.
