I couldn’t watch anymore after Pete said he spoke with a scout this morning who said Ivey is going to get some buzz in the spring.

Nothing against DJ personally but if he gets drafted, I need to rethink how I look at cornerbacks. There is no way that guy gets drafted

My luck, that scout is from the Dolphins.

I don’t think he gets drafted, but the Jon Ford example is an interesting one. Pete was adamant for months he’d get picked ahead of anyone else on the team.

DJ Ivey is slow as ****. I dont think he can play CB in the NFL and for a big CB he doesnt play physical enough for me to see him at safety. Pete is gonna talk up his clients 100%. Ivey and Tyrique have been rathee bad for DBs who played behind a DL that is 3 sacks off leading the nation. Pretty bad

I actually thought taking a flyer on Ford in the 7th was not a bad gamble at the time. He has good measurements but also I thought had some untapped potential. I’ll admit I was surprised Rambo didn’t get drafted. I whiffed on that prediction.

But beyond measurables, Ivey doesn’t have it. Doesn’t have the hips, the technique/instincts, football quickness, or physicality to cover a NFL WR I don’t see how he can make a squad Hey, good luck to him. I want as many Canes on a NFL roster as possible. I’m just shocked an NFL scout would say that
