Always a good listen

About the Jacurri question, also want to keep in mind Gattis did the samething in big games with JJ McCarthy in big games with Mich. He would come in even just for a play or whatever to give a different look but they put him in I think in 4th qtr of Neb game when they were down even, so you never know. They used it in OSU game, etc. So its definitely something that can come up if they want an extra blocker to run in college station. Or even QB sneaks or whatever.

Kid is big and talented, we can definitely use him in spurts while also giving DCs something to think about in coming weeks

Great point. I wonder if we will try again this weekend to force TAMU to prepare.

good podcast.. liked hearing from Duasso about the changes at the program and their plan to get more s.fla kids physically ready for college...

he spoke very highly of Andy Jean being a gym rat...

Great idea regarding preparing these kids for P5 football. Not only will it get them college ready but I also think it will help with injury prevention.

@DMoney i always saw you as a Miley Cyrus guy. Justin Bieber more your style?

I hope they do put Jaccuri in by the goaline so he can jump ball Jesus.

Btw, I listened to my first David Wilson and Susan podcast at the Herald. Man he must be tired from carrying her in life. She managed to do the impossible---- continue to be Captain Obvious and somehow be less coherent verbally than she is when she writes, and that's really saying something. How she hasn't "pursued other interests" is beyond me.

@DMoney Thanks for the podcast, finally got some time to listen to the entire thing. Really enjoyed it. Hope you continue with these.

Normally I hate to do comparisons, but I wanted your input on something, here goes.

Obviously this is a much better team than Bethune Cookman, although their C-USA record last year doesn’t necessarily strike fear.

A the same time, what I’m looking for this early in the season, is a contrast between this coaching staff and Manny and the prior coaching staff.

A comparable game that I can think of was Central Michigan @ home, back in 2019, a team that the old staff had a hard time dominating, matter-of-fact, had a bit of a hard time beating.

Central Michigan might be a slightly better team, and obviously in a different conference, but I see Southern Miss and Central Michigan as being in more or less the same stratosphere.

These are the types of teams that Manny had honestly a hard time dominating. Central Michigan, FIU, LATech.

So while this will not be as easy a game as Bethune Cookman, I still expect to see a difference in the way we dominate this inferior team, which we had horrible examples of in the prior coaching staff.

It is a low bar, but it’s still a measuring stick game versus Southern Miss. I expect domination. I expect at least a four touchdown win.

Agree with the comparison totally. I actually mentioned the Central Michigan game as an example of us not pushing around a weak opponent up front.
