Mateer wasn’t out. He played. OU probably would have had a better chance to win if he didn’t play cause you can tell he wasn’t close to 80% let alone 100%

And this is why so many of the SEC teams are ranked highly pre season..... Guarantees more of them remain ranked to the end.
Oklahoma was another team that hadn't really done anything to deserve their ranking. So many teams have climbed the rankings by beating terrible, or initially over rated teams. The only reason I'd be mildly surprised Texas beat them would be because of how bad they looked against Florida, the team we manhandled. Not because I thought OU was actually the #5 team in the country.
ND’s best win was against NC St and they have 2 losses.

Its hard at this point in a season to know which teams are overrated and which are underrated. We are all victims of preseason hype.
Was OU deserving of their ranking because they beat Auburn and Michigan, or were those teams overrated?
This kind of debate can go on for days becasue so much of is subjective.

What's his point in talking about the next 7 weeks of the schedule and their ranking on 10/15? They're not ranked now or they are ranked now but that won't matter at the end of the year or when the game is played, however you choose to evaluate wins/losses.
If Louisville was in the SEC and had their exact same schedule/record to date they would be top 15 strictly due to the affiliation. SMU could easily beat Clemson and Wake and be 6-2 on 11/1 and that would likely be another ranked opponent on the road. Pitt is receiving votes. This is the media already pushing the recency narrative to discount Miami playing 3 ranked teams in the first 5, plus Florida who was hyped to oblivion AGAIN by the same media members trashing them right now.

There's the built-in 2-loss forgiveness factor for the SEC.
A&M can go 1-2 in those games, Ol' **** can go 0-2 and still make the PO.
