Miami Hurricanes fans received big news on Sunday afternoon as linebacker commit Jordan Campbell announced on social media that he will be shutting down his recruitment following his visit to Miami this past week.

After concerns that Missouri was a significant contender in his recruitment, Campbell, who committed to Miami in 2023 while Derek Nicholson was still the linebackers coach, can now put those worries to rest. Nicholson switched to Missouri in the offseason to become the linebackers coach for the Tigers.

Although Campbell was planning to visit Nebraska, Missouri, and Auburn this month, he has since canceled those remaining visits.

Currently, Campbell is regarded as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ranking him as the 153rd best player in the nation and the 7th best linebacker.

In the past season at Northwestern in Opa Locka, FL, the 6-foot-2 linebacker recorded an impressive total of 70 tackles, which included 28 tackles for loss, six sacks, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.
