Miami lands premier WR Hightower

Peter Ariz

The dominoes continue to fall for Miami's 2018 recruiting class, as one of the nation's premier receiver prospects Brian Hightower announced his commitment to the Hurricanes on Wednesday night.

The 6-2, 200 pound IMG Academy WR told CanesInSight on Sunday that he was waiting until June 20th to commit, but took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce those intentions a bit earlier than expected. 247sports ranks Hightower as the #6 WR in the country and #40 player nationally. He is originally from Calabasas, California.

Hightower joins Daquris Wiggins as the two receiver commits in the class and also joins his IMG teammate and quarterback Artur Sitkowski in Miami's class. The Canes are making a strong push for IMG offensive lineman Curtis Dunlap as well.

Man. The staff aint ****** playing this year. Hartley keep filling them bags up.
Seriously, Richt is doing something special....big shoutout to Ron Dugans, he's landing whales! Operation: They Gotta Stick is now in full-effect.
Staff about to have The U Loaded like the 2001 team in the next two years .
Another great pickup.

With all the out-of-state talent that comes to IMG, it sure gives us a greater opportunity to land some of them.

Two so far from IMG in this class. Dunlap could be on deck....
Also, if these blue-chippers stick until the end....I don't wanna hear any crap on this board if we don't pick up a kid on NSD. Real talk!
