Why did Horton have two defensive snaps? I know he was #43 in the hail mary scrum but what was the other?

I know Mario highly values a RB being able to pass pro… I’m just going to tell myself that Martinez is head and shoulders above everyone else in that regard. Because that’s the only rationale I can wrap my head around for the play disparity in that room.

Chris Johnson needs more snaps

I understand in tight games and when you’re behind you’re gonna rely on your starters more, but he can’t have 6 snaps in a game
I am loving the screens Dawson sets up for him, probably can do the same with Lyle since he's got that speed too.

I will say that it does seem to me the coaches agree. They’re looking for ways to get him involved

We needed to rely on the backs that are good in pass pro with the way VT was playing up front

Only thing missing and I wish I had the ear of Dawson (hella pause) because I would use CJ in those pop passes and run fakes off those. Like have Cam in the pistol, CJ run across the middle for a pop pass fake (but have him continue to run a wheel route), run fake for the play action which would help get CJ one on one coverage with a linebacker.

I think I saw Andy Reid run something like that before, so this idea isn't new lol

How many backs do folks expect to play? This board might only be happy if we went to the wishbone.
Just the productive ones. I don't know what the issue with DM is but it's ok to go away from him while they're working out the kinks..

With game on the line, thought Martinez made some physical runs in 2nd half. Trust the coaches & reasoning behind playing time & carries. Not getting carried away by RBs deep on depth chart putting up late-game numbers against physically beaten down defenses.
