Miami junior running back Mark Walton will forego his senior season and declare for the NFL draft. The story was first reported by Neil Stratton on InsideTheLeague.com and sources confirmed to CanesInSight this afternoon.

Walton’s junior season ended early after suffering an ankle injury against Florida State earlier this season. His decision is not a surprise and was expected even prior to the season by those within the program.

Best of luck to him. He did everything we could have asked and was a huge part of changing the culture here.

Hopefully he's healthy for the combine

Get money, Mark. Good luck to you.

**** ankle injuries have robbed us of significant time from excellent running backs recently.

Gave us everything he had & left it all out there on the field, hate that it had to end the way it did.

Thank you for staying home & putting on for The U! Best of luck to Mark Walton!

I hope he has a great career. Good luck to him.

Have to think Walton will at the very least crack someones 53 man roster based alone on his tenacity on special teams. Good luck & great career at UM.
