Kid is the real deal. Not Vince Young 2.0 but he might be as smart a QB as we have seen in years.

Do you think Weldon is Miami caliber, Pete?

Miami caliber? He might beat out Perry

I may be mistaken but isn't Richt friends with his family? Miami is the best program to offer him. I'm not hating, just curious on Pete's thoughts since he is more of an expert than 90% of the posters.
CMR coached Weldon's father at FSU.

That's what I thought but wasn't certain. Hence, my question to Pete.

He has offers from the following:
South Carolina
Kentucky
Wake Forest
Toledo
Temple
USF

Not to mention, his family's relationship with Richt could be playing a major role on the offer. That's why I'm asking. I hope he blows up but is the question that ridiculous?

Offers aren't everything, especially for QBs who usually commit early And schools typically have their qb committed as juniors.
For Example, Jared Goff only technically had offers from Cal and like Boise St, but its only really because he's a Cal legacy and committed there as a Junior. Also I'm not sure if Kaaya even had UCLA/USC offers, did he?

My issue is what is Miami caliber at this point? Miami has been **** for about a decade
