The Heritage defense holds again forcing another punt. This time there is no flag.

 

After forcing a punt, Northwestern drives down into the red zone. Heritage tightens up and forces a field goal. 3-0 MNW late in the first quarter.

A Richard Thomas sack takes MNW out of field goal range. Both defenses playing well early.

 

Heritage just tried to throw the ball for the first time and we are nearly halfway through the first half. It would have been a sack if not for the illegal formation.

 

For the second time tonight MNW gets inside the 10 and then goes backwards due to negative plays and penalties. Score still 3-0 late in the half.

Bulls get in scoring position again and come away with nothing again after a Jacolby Spells interception. Heritage with good field position with one minute left in the half.

Romello Brinson with only one first half catch. Partially due to Northwestern running the ball well and partially due to the cornerback play and pass rush for Heritage. He will probably have to make a play in the second half if MNW is gonna hold on.
