Highlights: Brevin Jordan is making a case for his 5th star

Highlights: Brevin Jordan is making a case for his 5th star

Peter Ariz
Prior to this season, Brevin Jordan was considered by many as the best tight end in the country and he is doing everything in his power to solidify that status.

Through the first four games, which includes matchups against national powerhouses Dematha, Mater Dei, Central, and De La Salle, Jordan has racked up 22 catches, 250 yards, and 3 touchdowns.

He helped lead his Bishop Gorman team to a 34-7 victory on Friday night with 6 receptions, 136 yards, and a score.

Charles Clay?

I gott disagree with that, Jordan has waaay more upside than a 6th rounder like Clay.

I've always compared him to Vernon Davis, he's got the perfect speed & size combo, plus terrific hands. This kid rarely ever drops a pass.

He'll be a starter as a TF for us next year, I don't see Irvin Jr holding him off the field, don't care if he's not an EE either.

Can't wait to get him and Mallory in canes jerseys!

He's even more fluid than I thought at receiving. Kellen winslow type for me receiving wise but he's also a great blocker

Will he enroll early? He has a great chance to start as a freshman.

Won't happen. He could be the next coming of Keith Jackson and he wouldn't get his 5th star now that he's committed to Miami.

That RPO at the 1 minute mark is exactly what we need to execute in our offense. Imagine Lingard/Davis at RB, Jordan/Mallory and a mobile QB like Perry, Weldon and Sitowski. Add in WRs like Pope and Hightower, and we're going to crush defenses.

Gorman doesn't allow Early Enrollment, Brevin will still start for us though.

After Herndon gets drafted, we only have Irvin Jr & Polendey in front of him, neither one of them will be able to keep him off the field.

I think Clay is a fair comparison as far as body size. Clay was also really productive in Tulane. Vernon Davis was an absolute freak and ran in the 4.3's I believe.

They share similar size, but that's where it stops imo.

Davis was a 1st round draft pick & that's the type of upside I see with Brevin Jordan, a future 1st rounder.

Clay was more of a diamond in the rough.

I see Jordan reed in terms of build and athletic ability

I think hes more of an Aaron Hernandez type, Agree that the tight ends we have will not hold off both Mallory and Jordan. 2 TE set or u can move Jordan around hes real versatile u can have him come out the backfield as well with Lingard same thing coker did with shockey. That 2018 class if it stays together exactly the way it is and we add more will change miami it will bring us back instantly IMO

The scary thing is that Mallory may well end up better than Jordan. Both kids at TE is looking like a huge matchup problem for opposing offenses.
