Miami (2-1) once again goes on the road, this time to face the Ramblin' Wreck of Georgia Tech
(2-1). Remember that long losing streak UM had against them? Well, if the Canes win this game they will finally have winning record against Georgia Tech (series is 4-4) since joining the conference in 2004. GT has opened up as a 2 touchdown favorite. That's some disconcerting **** to take, especially from a team we've dominated 3 years in a row. Whatev.

4 storylines for UM in this game:

1. Can the front 7 hold up?
2. How much will they miss Perryman?

3. Will Morris get his **** together?
4. Can UM finally score first and take an early lead?

Last time they met: October 22, 2011. Miami won 24-7

What people were saying after our glorious victory:

We weren't around at this time last year so I turned to CanesOverHere again for reference.

A tip of the cap to D'Onofrio and our front 7. I fully expected us to need 40 to win today, and I'm still in shock we held them to 7. Spence is the man, and Perryman is a monster in the making. I'm really fired up about this one. Now lets hang 50 on those c0cksuckers this Thursday.

Excellently put Gobbles. If we win, I want everyone to read that quote again. Everyone was sure we were going to lose last year. And when we won convincingly, everyone thought our defense had turned a corner. That's what made the loss to "those c0cksuckers" the following Thursday more frustrating. Starting to get jammed up about last year all over again.

1. Miami Run Defense vs. Georgia Tech Run Offense. Miami's run defense has been far from impressive in the past two games, giving up over 200 yards in each game against teams that don't really have much business running for that much yardage. They're young, and missing arguably their best defensive player in LB Denzel Perryman. If they don't come in with a solid game plan and execute well, it could be a long afternoon on the Flats for the Hurricanes.

Dude pretty much nails it. Their fans have to be licking their chops for this game.

Miami Notes:

1. Seantrel Henderson is trying to move beyond his rocky offseason
.
2. The coaching staff is trying to be careful with Duke's touches.
3. What little bit of depth UM has left on defense will be tested.

Georgia Tech
Notes:

1. Georgia Tech's offense is starting to click.

2. Long Snapper Tyler Morgan will wear No. 40 in honor of Julian Burnett.
3. Paul Johnson is trying to keep his team's confidence in check.

Allen Hurns and Vaughn Telemaque are expected back, which is good. However, this is the 13th different starting lineup on defense since Al Golden became coach (16 games).

Sum of All Fears. Jimmy Gaines is the most experienced linebacker on that depth chart. Hey remember way back in August when everyone thought our starting 3 at linebacker was going to be Kirby - Perryman - Buchanan? I need a drink.
