The Miami Hurricanes baseball program is now just one victory away from Omaha. If the Canes win this game at noon, they will make their first trip to Omaha since 2016.

On Saturday night at Jim Patterson Stadium, the Miami Hurricanes defeated the Louisville Cardinals with a final score of 9-6 in game two of the NCAA Louisville Super Regional. This victory evened the series at one game each and brought the Hurricanes within one win of reaching Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska, for the College World Series. Reliever Carson Fischer (5-1) earned the win after pitching 3.1 innings of one-run ball out of the bullpen. Closer Brian Walters recorded the final six outs to secure his 11th save of the year.

Miami has not yet named a starting pitcher for Sunday. J.D. Arteaga will likely choose between Tate DeRias or Reese Lumpkin.
