Dwyer WR Talks Canes

Tito Benach
2014 Dwyer (Fla.) WR Johnnie Dixon is looking to rebound from a tough loss to Manatee last year in the state playoffs. Dixon feels confident about the upcoming season for the Panthers.

“We're looking real good, we have a real good team, with possibly the best defense in the nation."

Dwyer will play a powerhouse schedule like always.

"In the preseason, we face Miami Central and then we play Glades Central. We also play American Heritage at the end of the season.”

While Dixon is preparing for the season, the Dwyer product has been receiving calls from multiple schools. He says the recruiting process is going well, as he is hearing from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Ohio State and Miami. The Hurricanes are one of Dixon's top choices.

“I like the chemistry they have and all the history they have and tradition. I talk to Coach Franklin and Coach McDonald. I like them”

Dixon doesn’t have any visits planned at the moment but does admit that he has visited Miami.

“I’ve visited Miami a couple times, actually a lot. I like it, it’s cool”

Dixon does not have a top list of schools yet, but does have an idea of what he wants in a school when he chooses.

“Education and are they able to go to a bowl and also playing time.”

While this maybe true, he's saying Eff Dwyer because of their coach is a huge UF honk and Miami almost never gets players from there. Most recent case was the recruitment of Jacoby Brissett.
