The CanesInSight Big Board is a feature, which we will update every couple of weeks. A new update could include new percentages, new tidbits, and even new names. These are the prospects who have committed to Miami, Miami is actively recruiting, or could be recruited by Miami in the future.

Changes from the previous update:
Removed WR Levonte Whitfield (committed to FSU)Removed OL Jomel Ribalta (Not a realistic option)
Added OL Hunter Knighton
Added OL Roderick Johnson
Removed DE Jordan Sherit (committed to UF)
Added LB Quinten James
Moved Mike Parker from S to LB
Removed Vernon Hargreaves III (committed to UF)
Removed Rashard Robinson (committed to LSU)
Removed Sojourn Shelton (Not a realistic option)
Removed Marcell Harris (Not seriously considering Miami)
Removed Jayron Kearse (committed to Clemson)

Percentage Key
0-10 Extremely Low Chance
15-25 Low Chance
30-40 Decent Chance
45-60 Good Chance
65-75 Great Chance
80-95 Virtual Lock
100 Lock

In parentheses is the expected number that Miami will take at that position.

QB (1)
Things are the same here. Olsen will be the only QB.

Kevin Olsen (commit): It was unfortunate that Olsen couldn't make it down to Senior Day because New Jersey state rules.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%

RB (1)
As it is right now, it's looking more and more like Collins will be the only back in the class. Danny Dillard's qualification helps a lot for depth.

Alex Collins (commit): There was talk for weeks about Collins flirting with FSU, but having him show up for Senior Day was huge. Noles coaches love him, but don't want to overload at RB. Canes look strong here.
7/25: 65%
8/13: 75%

AJ Turman: Turman never made it down to Miami like he was expected to over the summer. With Collins' commitment solidifying, the staff isn't pushing hard.
7/25: 30%
8/13: 10%

WR (1-2)
No major changes here. The Coley-Cunningham situation will be interesting as it develops.

Angelo Jean-Louis (commit): The 2012 signee will be here in January; he’s at Fork Union Military Academy for the season. His commitment has always been strong and the coaches love him. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%

Stacy Coley: Coley was in the news recently when his coach said that Miami was in his top 3 along with South Florida and FSU. There is still a lot of questions surrounding him, but the situation is looking a bit more positive than before. He has been in contact with the staff.
7/25: 15%
8/13: 35%

Jordan Cunningham: Visited Miami yesterday for Rising Senior Day. Canes are in the same spot with him. He will wind up here if the offer is committable. A lot is contingent on what happens with Coley.
7/25: 60%
8/13: 65%

TE (3)
Miami is more than happy with their current crop of tight end commits and all three are extremely solid. No worries with their level of commitment. No changes on any of their level of commitments from the previous update.

Travis Johnson (commit): Visited yesterday (100%)

Standish Dobard (commit): (100%)

Jeremy Kerr (commit): Visited yesterday (100%)

OL (2-3)
Ideally, 3 is the number at OL.

Alex Gall (commit): (100%)

Denver Kirkland: Was at senior day yesterday, things are still positive with him, but FSU remains the biggest competition.
7/25: 55%
8/13: 60%

Hunter Knighton: The New Jersey product was offered at a camp after Coach Kehoe was impressed by him. He was not able to make it down yesterday like he had originally planned, but is still planning to take an official visit. He has serious interest.
7/25: NA
8/13: 40%

Roderick Johnson: The recent UF de-commitment has serious interest in Miami, but the Canes have not offered yet. He will be somebody to keep an eye on throughout the high school season. Noles lead at the moment. An offer would significantly increase Miami's chances.
7/25: NA
8/13: 15%

Sandley Jean-Felix: The Boyd Anderson tackle is another under-the-radar kid. He has worlds of potential, but is extremely raw. Sat out last season due to grades issues so that could be a problem, but from a talent standpoint, has a chance to be special. Would have had a much better chance at an offer in last year’s class, where offers weren’t limited. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 5%
8/13: 5%

DT (2-3)
The "3 B's" look like a major possibility.

Keith Bryant (commit): Made the trip down yesterday and enjoyed himself. There has been talk that his mother wants him to get away from home, but that shouldn't be an issue in the long run. He wants to be at Miami.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%

Maquedius Bain: One of the handful of uncommitted prospects who visited yesterday. It is only a matter of when, not if, he will be a Cane.
7/25: 80%
8/13: 85%

Jaynard Bostwick: The cousin of current Cane linebacker, Thurston Armbrister, has Miami in the lead. Versatile prospect who can play end or tackle. Wasn't able to make the trip down yesterday, but that isn't an issue.
7/25: 60%
8/13: 65%

Deadrin Senat: The former FSU commit likes Miami a lot, but has not been offered. He could be a realistic option if they can’t land Bostwick or Bain. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 10%
8/13: 10%

DE (1)
It's kind of surprising that the staff hasn't made this more of a priority, but it looks like Williams or bust.

Tim Williams: Named Miami his leader recently. Was planning to come down for Senior Day, but wasn't able to afford the last minute trip. He is setting up an official visit for the FSU game. Noles are the biggest contenders right now with LSU still lurking if they make a push for him.
7/25: 45%
8/13: 55%

LB (2)
Thomas is leaning towards the Noles heavily, some new names may emerge.

Matthew Thomas: Went up to Tallahassee this weekend instead of coming for Senior Day. Bad sign for Miami, but not the end of the world. Canes are still in the running, but major ground will need to be made up.
7/25: 45%
8/13: 40%

Jermaine Grace: Will be a Hurricane in all likelihood, but will make us wait until Signing Day to announce.
7/25: 85%
8/13: 90%

Quinten James: The Georgia prospect reports an offer, but I'm not sure if it is committable. He loves Miami, though.
7/25: NA
8/13: 25%

Mike Parker: Visited yesterday with his brother, came down from Virginia. Nice looking tweener prospect who has the frame to add weight. Reminds me of Travis Williams. West Virginia remains the biggest threat.
7/25: 35%
8/13: 45%

CB (1)
Options are slim here. Major targets don't have extremely high interest. Artie Burns remains a possibility to play corner if the depth at safety is fine.
Mackensie Alexander: Elite player, who was committed to Tennessee early on. Wants to play with his brother, Mackenro, but Miami is not and most likely will not pursue him. Anything can happen, but it doesn’t look good for the Canes. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 15%
8/13: 15%

Will Likely: One of my favorite players in the class, Likely doesn’t have the measurable and that is why Miami will most likely pass him up. The Canes aren’t the only big school that has not offered, though. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 10%
8/13: 10%

S (2)
It looks like 2 could be the number. Ray Lewis III thinks he will wind up playing safety, so that would slide Burns to corner, which would fill that need.

Artie Burns (commit): Was on campus yesterday.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%

Jamal Carter (commit): Committed to Miami between the previous update and now. He is solid and was on campus yesterday.
7/25: 95%
8/13: 100%

Leroy Clark: Another kid who could possibly receive a late offer if something falls through with one of the other prospects at safety. He is a ball hawk. **No change from previous update**
7/25: 5%
8/13: 5%

ATH
Ray Lewis III (commit): Had a great time yesterday on campus. He thinks he will wind up at DB, preferably Safety.
7/25: 100%
8/13: 100%

FWIW Nole80 has Collins signing with Wisconsin and Kirkland leaning to FSU as of today.

That's pretty fair stuff and I agree with everyone's except Tim Williams. I would have left him at 45% as it still has yet to be seen if he has true interest(I know he says we're the slight leader but i've heard that before).

Talking to somebody I trust in the Louisiana area, he has sincere interest.

Seems like this is a big year for Miami/FSU recruiting battles.

Guys like Thomas and Williams can really make a class.

How about Nate Wozniak TE from Indiana, Pete? He recently named us in his top two (Miami / Purdue). The odds imo are towards Purdue due to location and familiarity.

We aren't taking another TE

Yeah........that dude is clueless. Trust me.

lol. nole80 has sworn up and down that he was "objective" and not biased against Miami. I don't doubt his recruiting evaluations and he was right on when it came to some of Shammin's sh*thole recruiting decisions. But when it comes to where kids are going, he has no freaking clue, and loves to predict worst-case scenarios for Cane fans. He's like a half-troll on Shadow's board.

Matthew Thomas is a Cane until he signs somewhere else on NSD.

I don't care what anyone says.

Not even worried about that kid. Golden cemented himself in SFLA with the signing of Tracy Howard.

Preach it my man! :fistbump:

So, just a summary...uncommitted Plan A's going into the season are:

WR Stacy Coley
WR Jordan Cunningham
OL Denver Kirkland
DE Tim Williams
DT Quay Bain
DT Jaynard Bostwick
LB Matthew Thomas

While still waiting on real deal "committable offers" for several others and waiting to see how the season shakes out for some of the final slots, but with the season upon us, a very small list of legitimate Plan A's still out there.

I like my class, even if small, if that is my master list going into the season.

You can take Jordan Cunningham off that list - I think Peter has mentioned a couple times that he may not have a commitable offer. I would add Jermaine Grace at LB.

If I'm not mistaken Peter or Tito said they feel he does have a commitable offer after talking to him.

In all honesty seems like we have the best shot at Coley if we want him, would like to know if the staff has been in contact with him to explain the changes they would like to see from the young man.

Your board sounds about right. I agree with Hawaii that J. Grace will be in there as well. My question is, who are the plan B's? If Williams goes elsewhere, do we look more towards adding OL help in Hunter Knighton or Hot Rod Johnson (just made that nickname up)? Or does Parker or even Senat somehow slip into this class? And how many schollies do we have left?

I think Grace ends up in this class barring a few hurdles, so, he files under "waiting on committable offers and waiting to see how the season shakes out" category.

I think Plan B's emerge as the season develops. There are a few out there right now, but as other players fall by the wayside or commit elsewhere, we'll see Golden get hot on some other guys that we probably haven't even heard about yet.
