Canes Breeze past the 49'ers 77-46

The defense was on display tonight as the Canes (6-1) had the easiest of times with the no longer undefeated Charlotte 49'ers (9-1) in Coral Gables. Everyone for the Canes was scoring it seemed, and if they werent, they were rebounding or playing great defense. This was a pivotal game for both of these teams as a win would have been good for the RPI seeing as how each team could use this as a good mark on their OOC schedule.

Statistically, alot of Miami players had really good nights.

Top Performers - MIAMI
Kenny Kadji led all with 17 points, along with 5 boards and 3 blocks.

Durand Scott had a seemingly effortless performance. 16 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and a block for Scott while shooting 2-3 from the 3 point line, his first attempts of the year.

Mckinney-Jones was in double figures yet again, scoring 10 on a 3-9 shooting performance, going 0-3 from beyond the arch.

Larkin had 9 points, 5 boards, 5 assists. Reggie had 8 points and 4 rebounds.

OFF THE BENCH

Julian Gamble played like a wild man for about 2 minutes, adding 5 points, 2 boards and 2 blocks.

Rion Brown and Erik Swope both had 4.

Top players - CHARLOTTE

Willie Clayton had 11 points 6 boards

Pierra Henry had 6 points.

Chris Braswell led Charlotte off of the bench with 13 points on 5-10 shooting.

Miami will take the short bus ride to Orlando to play UCF at 8:00 est Tuesday on the CBS Sports Network. UCF is 6-2 coming off of a 4 point win against Old Dominion.

And **** IT FEELS GOOD TO SAY THAT THE CANES ROLLED.

I agree! And it looked effortless. Charlotte is no slouch of an opponent, but we made them look bad.

Great effort all the way around tonight. Our defense was ridiculous.

Just got finished watching on DVR. **** that was impressive!! Now off to the Bahamas, see y'all in a week.

We haven't had as strong a core as Scott, Johnson, Kadji, Larkin, McKinney-Jones in a good while. Should be a fun season.
