On Monday night, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that former Miami Hurricane Bruce Brown is signing a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets.
Brown spent last season with the Toronto Raptors, where he averaged 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds over 41 games.
Brown is a fan favorite in Denver after being a key contributor to their NBA title run in during the 22-23 season. Brown has been on multiple teams since then, receiving nice paydays, before now returning back to a place he has had the most professional success.
Brown now returns to the Nuggets, the team he helped win an NBA championship in 2023. During that title run, he played off the bench, averaging 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.1 steals in 28.5 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-4 guard, originally selected 42nd overall in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Miami, has made stops at the Pacers, Nets, Pistons, Pelicans, Raptors, and the Pelicans during his NBA career.
While we're talking about Bruce, let's take a look back at his time at Miami. During his college career with the Hurricanes, he averaged 11.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, while playing 31.9 minutes per game.
Brown’s deal with Denver is a one-year, $3.63 million minimum contract.
