Article: Canes Route #1 Blue Devils
Its ALL about the .
What a day. What a 2 years. What a damn history of Hurricane athletics. On a day that we learned of NCAA using bullying tactics and illegal ways to dig dirt, we also had a basketball game tonight if you didnt know. We happen to play the #1 team in the country, conference foe Duke. Miami was 0-6 all time versus #1 ranked teams in the land coming in to this game. It was going to be a tough pull without the big man... but... whats this? Reggie was cleared to play right before the game. Ultimately he wasnt a factor but man it was good to see him back on the court. I was expecting a knockdown, drag out game that Miami would refuse to lose. Instead I got the opposite of that... crushing blow after crushing blow of relentless defense and knocking down open shots. Every single Miami player played well, and even had Tony Jakiri out there looking like Meadowlark Lemon with a slick behind the back pass that made the crowd go "oooh".
Quote of the night comes from Dickie Vitale.
"Duke is getting hit with layup, after layup, after layup, after layup, after layup, after layup, after layup."
