A-Rod Classic - The Rock Gainesville

The A-Rod classic was held at Christopher Columbus HS this weekend and Florida powerhouse The Rock (Gainesville) was one of the four team in the Tournament along with Archbishop McCarthy, Archbishop Caroll, Calusa Prep & Columbus.

Three players that impressed me

Freshman G BJ Greenlee 6'0 150lb: As a freshman doing what he did on the floor was just amazing. He is going to be one of the top players in the nation when he's a senior

Sophomore Darius Days 6'7: 1 word ...... WOW, He already has offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, Arkansas, FSU "according to his coach" Miami needs to jump on board with him quick. He can slam it on anyone, great rebounding ability and he also has developed a shot that is only going to improve.

Junior Jamari Wheeler 6'1 : Great basketball I.Q he also has a very good shot and can pass the ball very well. He's another kid Miami should look at.

*Note The Rock basketball team took a visit to Miami on Saturday and from speaking to the coach and some players, most said that Miami has a very nice campus and would love to come back on another visit."

Mccarthy went 2-1 Beat Columbus and Miami Christian and lost to Calusa

They had a good week. No idea how they lost to St.Brendan earlier in the year

As far as The Rock

Days is the only kid I'd say that we should be on. My team played his in travel this year hes a beast

Greenlee is not one of the best players in the nation in his class

McCarthy is pretty good Kyle, they have players like SG Tyler Messer, PG Jose Diaz, SF Victor Arocho who transferred from St. Thomas who played really good at the Tournament. McCarthy is going to be in the district title race with Heritage and Hallandale. Also one of my good friends is an assistant coach on the team he told me that they were missing two of there best players in the tournament, So they're a team to lookout for.

Awesome thanks. Tyler and Jose are both the man great guys. Havent seen Victor play, what grade is he in? I know we got this kid christian who is a sophomore who transferred from sta or sagemont. I used to coach christian back when he was in middle school he was superior to 99% of the kids I had seen at that age.

Since you went to Columbus, I am assuming Rob is your good friend? I love Rob he is a great guy
