Four-star Class of 2026 linebacker DQ Forkpa has narrowed his list of finalists to four programs, and the Miami Hurricanes have made the cut.

The Georgia native, who recently transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, for his senior season, is also considering Florida, Florida State, and Michigan.

Last fall at Mill Creek High School, Forkpa recorded 22 tackles, two tackles for loss, and three pass deflections in just five games.

Forkpa told On3 that he will announce his college commitment on July 12th. He visited all four finalists, with Miami getting the final visit on June 20th.

The 6-foot, 225-pound linebacker also holds offers from North Carolina, Colorado, Baylor, Clemson, Duke, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, and several other programs that didn’t make his final four.

According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Forkpa is rated the No. 38 overall player in Florida and the No. 15 linebacker nationally.

Can Miami land the talented Georgia native? We’ll have to wait and see on July 12th. However, according to On3, the Florida Gators seem like the team to beat.

Down may just dethrone Realus George as the oldest looking Cane commit.

They need to close on this kid. 6-2 219 4.45 verified the summer before his SR year in high school is impressive. Hetherman is all about verified times and length at LB, this kid has it all in a major way. In this defense he will be a monster with that speed running free.
