The Miami Hurricanes and head coach Mario Cristobal recently concluded their second official visit week in June, during which three-star defensive lineman Freddie Wilson attended and thoroughly enjoyed his experience.

"I loved the visit! It opened my eyes a bit; it was great," Wilson remarked about his time in Miami.

Wilson also discussed his close relationship with Coach Cristobal and the Hurricanes' staff, stating that he plans to commit in early July.

"My relationship with Coach Cristobal and the other coaches is pretty tight. I wouldn’t want to go to a program where I barely know the coaches, and here, that’s not an issue. I plan on committing in early July after I finish the rest of my visits."

The last time Wilson visited Coral Gables was during the Hurricanes' annual Spring Game in April.

Standing at 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 265 pounds, Wilson plays as a defensive end at Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Florida. As he prepares for his senior year, he finished his junior season with impressive statistics: 65 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and five sacks. He helped lead Spruce Creek to an 8-4 record and a spot in the second round of Florida’s 7A playoffs.

Wilson is currently ranked as the 513th player in the class of 2026, the 62nd defensive lineman, and the 73rd player in Florida.
