Booker T never fails to produce talent, and these next two years are especially loaded. 2014 DE Chad Thomas already lists offers from Florida State, Miami, LSU, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Marshall. He has been up in Tallahassee at the FSU camp for the last few days.

“Florida State and UM stand out. It’s a good learning experience up here (FSU camp). We came up and competed and we learned a lot of stuff that I’m gonna take back down to Miami with me. It’s a beautiful campus, everything’s about football up here,” Thomas said.

There’s no shortage of love for the hometown Hurricanes from Thomas.

“I walked around the campus with Coach Barrow when I went to the camp. It’s a very nice campus, like the new project that’s being built, it’s going to be beautiful,” he added.

Thomas says that the ‘Noles lead, but that Miami is definitely in it.

“They’re leading because I’ve liked them since I was a little kid, but Miami’s the home school. Some of my family wants me to stay home, but the rest wants me to make the best decision for me.”

He says his combination of power and speed is what makes him stand out, which is something that his teammate, Matthew Thomas, is also known for.

“We think about playing together a lot, that’s like my big brother. I don’t know even where he’s leaning, that’s one big secret he keeps to himself.”

We have to ***** slap FSU across the face on Oct 20th to seal the deal. Make a statement.

whats the hype around the "Greatest 4 Loss Team Ever" that all these recruits are attracted too?

The fact that they have had one of the better defenses in College Football for the past 2 years and have a good DC?

Beating FSU would help our cause generally. In fact, doing better than 6-6 and coming up big in big games would help us a lot with recruiting. Coaches are already doing a solid job though.

It has to translate into wins. We'll see if they get to the next level this year, because if they dont, there are going to be some serious eyebrows raised.

This is the year for Jimbo to put up or shut up. The staff at FSU has been recruiting well, and it is mostly their players in place now, so no more excuses.
Minimum for this year ACC championship.

This year is *somewhat* similar to Randy Shannon's last year here. Jimbo has a better system in place from top to bottom and I don't expect the bottom to fall out the way it did with Shannon, but it's one of those crucial points where the entire "plan" either falls apart or is pushed forward. That year, the FSU debacle changed everything. That blowout set the stage for everything that later happened. I don't expect Miami to blow FSU out by any stretch of the imagination, but it'd be nice symmetry to see the Canes sneak out some random victory that puts Jimbo's plan into question.

I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that a "good four loss team" is better than a great, six loss team. We've got to deal with FSU on the field. Then we can deal with them in recruit's living rooms.

A loss to UM would suck, but I am not saying FSU has to go 14-0 for him to keep his job, just win the dang ACC. We are talking about young men here, so I do expect some loss of focus here and there. The problem comes in if the coaches can't get them refocused and not let them lose to the likes of WF, NCSU, BC, etc. Clemson is a toss up right now, UM wouldn't surprise me if they win, even though on paper it shouldn't be close; it is a rivalry game, and we all know how those can go. Win the ACC, beat UF, and the bowl game, don't have a WTF loss, and it has been a good season, not great but good and moving in the right direction. If a few things go the right way, it is possible to be playing for a MNC. No guarantees about that though.
