6 players who should be happiest to hear the QB news

LuCane
As we know, Jarren Williams (JW) was named QB1 to start the 2019 season. Here are a list of players I expect to reap the benefits:

1. Jeff Thomas - JW has all the throws. Those deep posts, corner routes and deep digs? If given enough time (ha, we'll see), at least there's a QB now who can make all of these throws with accuracy and relative consistency. Thomas gets pretty obvious separation out of his breaks. He needs an accurate QB.
2. Will Mallory - I have him over Brevin Jordan on this list because Jordan was going to get his looks regardless. Mallory would have gotten some also, as I've said I think we're going to see a ton of 12 personnel. But, JW appears to be a rhythm passer. A guy like Mallory is going to feast on crossing routes.
3. Brevin Jordan - JW is tall and has the ability to see the middle of the field easier than a QB like Tate. While I'd have expected Jordan to get looks regardless, depending on the playbook, it might have been a more limited route tree - out breaking routes and seams. I really expect JW to carve up the middle of the field.
4. Brian Hightower - I think he's being slept on. He can provide us something that the other WRs cannot. A true big body on the outside who can get in and out of his breaks and, hopefully, contribute to conversions on slants, quick ins and other routes where he can use his frame.
5. Shaq Quarterman & Mike Pinckney - As leaders of our defense and our team, I'm sure they want to leave with a bang in their senior year. But, that aside, they should be happy because I believe JW is going to be groomed and used very similarly to Brandon Allen in Arkansas. By that, I mean I think we'll hit the intermediate route game more often and our 3 and outs should be significantly reduced from last year (can they not be?). JW's accuracy and consistent mechanics contribute to keeping the defense off the field a bit more often.

It's funny you brought up Brandon Allen bc he was the guy i kept thinking about when this news came down. That's the type of passing game i anticipate Enos using with JW.

Enos seems to always have a checkdown option in his plays. Let's hope Jarren doesn't mind checking down when his first couple of reads aren't there and DJ and Cam are happy about the Jarren pick as well.

I haven’t watched much of Enos, but curious to how he uses the RB. I would love to see Dallas get a lot of passes, similar to how Duke was used.
Mainly screens and swings for check downs.
If he dials up a screen very early vs UF, since they have an aggressive defense, with Harris, might go yard. M
Enos has really good timing for play calls, watched the entire 2015 season, it was nice and refreshing.

Although obviously not a player, if this works the way we all want it to on the field, this will be Enos’s golden ticket to a big time HC job. As we pretty much expect, this will be a 2-3 year stint as an OC before becoming the main man at a program.

Can't wait for our fans to witness this. It immediately jumps out when watching the film

Dont sleep on Mark Pope. The ability for Jarren to be accurate and get him the ball in space in stride, Pope is going to feast.
I don't think anyone is sleeping on Pope, he seems to have had a GREAT camp.

With Thomas though, we saw it last year....time after time. Running open with tons of space but balls behind him. And the TEs are always features in Enos' offense.

They toss it is a lot to RB's and Tight Ends.....

Cam and Dallas should get a ton of passes.
