(Three team (or more) tiebreaker procedure will be used to break all ties to identify the Championship game representative. Once a team is eliminated from the tie, the tie-breaking procedures restart for the remaining teams. If the three (or more) team tie can only be reduced to two teams, the two-team tiebreaking procedure will then be applied).

Combined head-to-head winning percentage among the tied teams.
Winning percentage of the tied teams within the division.
Head-to-head competition versus the team within the division with the best overall (divisional and non-divisional) Conference winning percentage, and proceeding through the division. Multiple ties within the division will be broken fi rst to last, using the league’s tie-breaking procedures.
Combined winning percentage versus all common non-divisional opponents.
Combined winning percentage versus all non-divisional opponents.
Winning percentage versus common non-divisional opponents based upon their order of finish (overall conference winning percentage) and proceeding through other common non-divisional opponents based upon their divisional order of finish.
The tied team with the highest ranking in the full Bowl Championship Series Standings following the conclusion of regular season games, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the two-team tiebreaking procedure shall be applied between the top two ranked tied teams. If all tied teams are not ranked in the full Bowl Championship Series Standings, the computer ranking portion of the Standings will be used, eliminating the high and the low computer ranking, and averaging the remaining rankings.
The representative shall be chosen by a draw as administered by the Commissioner or Commissioner’s designee.

So we are hoping for a miracle that Duke will lose one of its last 4 games against ACC nobodies? Duke will be on cruise control all the way to the ACC championship game. I hope they lose but in reality they have to lose one for us to have a chance and we have to win out. Seriously doubt that will happen.

ACC coastal winner just gets raped by the atlantic winner who in return gets raped by any other conference winner this year

When you're one **** among multiple turds in the bowl, does it really matter if you float the longest?

The question is can we win out beat fsu twice and back ourselves into the playoffs with three losses.

Duke has the best chance to win the coastal. GT and us are in the same position. We need Duke and GT to lose 2 games, preferably to coastal teams (similar opponents tiebreaker). GT plays Clemson, so Hopefully Pitt or Virginia can pull out a win. I doubt Syracuse or Wake can beat Duke so we need VTech and UNC or Pitt to beat them.
Honestly, Its looking like theres going to be 3-4 teams finishing with 3 or 4 losses.

We're not winning the coastal. Just give it up already

We lost the coastal the day Al and No D thought it was ok to not line up in front of their center on dive plays

if we win out, i think we win the coastal. Duke still has to play VT and Syracuse is good enough to beat them as well (i predict Cuse takes them down). GT still has to play Clemson.

With such contempt for the season, why do you waste so much time on the board? If you have no joy in a Cane's victory or potential conference championship game why bother?

Man, some of you are just miserable. Stop following the Canes if you can't stomach the ups and downs...

so we are just supposed to be happy with a mediocre team? participation trophy?

There's a more than reasonable chance that we end up in the ACCCG. Miami just needs to win and the rest will take care of itself. Duke will lose one more and may lose two (which is what we really need). GT will lose against Clemson and may drop another (UVA?).

In all honesty I expect both GT and Duke to lose this weekend. If Miami wins against everyone but FSU there will still be a conversation to be had.
